| Whether tracing back the historical development or based on the current era,students’ learning power is the core competitiveness in their development process.The further development of globalization puts forward higher requirements for students’ English learning power.Students are faced with difficulties in the conversion of physical classrooms and virtual classrooms.However,Junior high school students’ learning self-consciousness and dependence coexist,initiative and passivity coexist,at this stage,it is urgent to explore the effective path to improve students’ English learning power.In recent years,the value concept of human community with a shared future and multicultural understanding has been deeply rooted in people’s hearts,this research attempts to explore the problem of junior high school students’ English learning power from the perspective of international understanding,analyze the development and cultivation status,and propose feasible and effective strategies after rational thinking.Based on the research status and achievements of learning power and English learning power at home and abroad,this research clarifies the connotation and extension of learning power and English learning power,analyzes the composition of English learning power,and discusses the value appeal of cultivating junior high school students’ English learning power from the perspective of international understanding.Then,the questionnaire survey and interview survey are used to investigate the development level and cultivation status of junior high school students’ English learning power in two cities of Hubei,to reveal the current problems and then put forward targeted improvement strategies.This paper mainly includes four parts:The first part is the introduction.This part discusses the origin of the research,the purpose and significance of the research,the status of the research at home and abroad,and determines the train of thought and the research method to be adopted in this research.The second part is the theoretical explanation.This part defines the core concepts of the research — learning power and English learning power,distinguishes related concepts,and expounds the theoretical basis of the research from three aspects:vision fusion theory,constructivism theory and second language acquisition theory.It analyzes the composition of English learning power,including language learning system,culture creation system,motivation maintenance system and strategy support system.Language learning system consists of language acquisition and language learning.Culture creation system consists of culture understanding,culture identity and culture practice.Motivation maintenance system consists of internal drive and willpower.Strategy support system consists of strategy selection and metacognitive regulation.The third part is the investigation and analysis.This part clarifies the purpose,content and object of the survey,reveals the development level of junior high school students’ English learning power from two aspects of overall situation analysis and difference analysis,and describes the cultivation status of students themselves,schools(in and out of class)and families.The research found that in terms of development level,junior high school students developed better in motivation maintenance system,followed by language learning system,and poorly developed in cultural creation system and strategy support system;among them,in culture creation system,the level of culture understanding and culture identity is relatively high,and the level of culture practice is low.In terms of the current situation of training,students have cognitive biases on the connotation of English learning power,and there is an urgent need to improve English learning strategies and methods,and the improvement of English learning power is mainly driven by external motivation.Teachers tend to be more inclined to knowledge and skills in the orientation of teaching goals,and rarely involve goals related to the cultural connotation of English,especially ignoring the cultivation of culture practice;in terms of teaching content,they provide less cultural expansion resources for students;in teaching methods,the form is single and there is less communication and interaction;in the teaching evaluation,teachers are the main evaluation body,and the evaluation standard is mainly the student test scores.In addition,the way parents pay attention to English learning power and how to cultivate it needs to be optimized.The fourth part is the strategy discussion.Based on relevant theories and investigation and analysis,this part puts forward strategies for consolidating language learning system,developing culture creation system,strengthening motivation maintenance system and improving strategy support system. |
