School-based curriculum development refers to action and research that are jointly developed by experts,school administrators,teachers,students,parents and other subjects under the guidance of national and local curriculum and based on school conditions,which can promote the development of the core literacy of the school’s students.With the implementation of core literacy and national three-level curriculum,school-based curriculum development has attracted more and more attention.However,the current teaching in large classes in China is increasingly difficult to meet the diverse needs of different students,and it is difficult to realize the differences and subjectivity of students’ self-development,and lack a universal theoretical guidance.Research shows that UDL theory can maximize students’ learning opportunities,minimize learning obstacles,and meet the diverse development needs of students as much as possible.This research is based on UDL theory,using questionnaire surveys and interviews to understand the school-based English curriculum needs of B primary school students in Liguo Town,Ledong Li Autonomous County,Hainan Province,assist them in the development and implementation of school-based curriculum based on UDL theory,and work with the school’s leaders and teachers to evaluate the development of the English school-based curriculum.The research is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction,which elaborates the research background,research purpose and significance,research content,methods and paths of this research,combs and completes the literature review of UDL theory and school-based curriculum development,and discusses the core concepts,defines and puts forward the theoretical basis of the research;the second part is the feasibility analysis,that is,the internal and external environment analysis of the B primary school and the basic survey of the school,which form an SWOT analysis of the B primary school English school-based curriculum;The third part is the development of school-based English curriculum based on UDL theory,which is developed from the four perspectives of objectives,principles and content,plans,evaluation;the fourth part is implementation,including three aspects: the implementation of school-based courses,the implementation of class examples,and course evaluation;The five part is a summary part,including the results and shortcomings of this research,and I look forward to providing experience and reference for other researchers and the future school-based curriculum improvement of B primary school.The innovations of this research are as follows: Firstly,this research is based on UDL theory to develop school-based courses.While meeting the national core literacy requirements,it maximizes learning opportunities and minimizes learning obstacles.The research perspective is scientific and unique.Secondly,the school-based curriculum development is school-oriented,with the Li nationality culture as the theme,to promote excellent traditional culture and carry forward the national spirit.
