Yuan Qiongqiong is one of the representative writers in the new feminist literature camp in Taiwan.Her novels reflect the living conditions of women in modern society,reflect the female liberation and social reality in the conflict between new and old ideas,deconstruct the real world,highlight the disharmony between reality and individual,and express concern for individual alienation.Based on the close reading of the text,this paper takes Yuan Qiongqiong’s short stories,novellas and novels from 1979 to2009 as a whole,analyzes the relationship between the theme of her novels and the development of the era,and analyzes the logical relationship between the themes of her novels.The theme of Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels reflects the author’s creative thought,and the author’s choice of theme reflects her concern for modern society.This paper abstracts three themes of Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels: gender,body and the world.These three themes run through Yuan Qiongqiong’s overall creation,and show different writing styles in different stages,but the theme remains unchanged.This paper not only deeply studies the specific situation of Yuan Qiongqiong’s various creative stages,but also takes these three themes as the logical line to find the core idea of her novel creation,focusing on the specific performance of the themes of gender,body and reality.It is found that Yuan Qiongqiong’s application of these three themes has a cross combination,and focuses on the female body from the perspective of gender relationship,so as to reveal the impact of the realistic environment on people.The theme logic can explore the subjectivity behind Yuan Qiongqiong’s works.The main body of the paper consists have three chapters.The first chapter divides the gender relationship model in Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels into two categories: one is the traditional male strong female weak model,the other is subverting the traditional female strong male weak model.In these two relations,the female images written by Yuan Qiongqiong can be divided into traditional independent women and modern independent women,while male images can be divided into traditional male and Oedipus male.Yuan Qiongqiong analyzes the relationship rationally from the third sex perspective,and emphasizes the harmonious relationship between the two by showing the difference between the two.The second chapter combines the process of women’s Liberation Movement in Taiwan,and divides the body writing of Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels into two stages.The first stage emphasizes the female physical and mental liberation in the public domain,and the second stage emphasizes the freedom of female desire in the private field.The paper also analyzes the repressed female body in the text from the perspective of feminism and the theory of biological evolution.It is found that the theme of "body" in Yuan Qiongqiong’s works focuses on the common liberation of women’s body and mind,and the purpose of body writing is to call for the establishment of a complete subjectivity consciousness of women.The third chapter analyzes the theme of the world in Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels from the perspective of modernism.The "world" in Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels is divided into the real world and the absurd world.The two kinds of world sometimes intersect,which makes her works present a state of disorder and a sense of reality.Yuan Qiongqiong creates a dramatic contrast with absurd situation and numbness and calm of characters,forming a black humor style.Through the analysis of the theme of the world,it is pointed out that the core idea of Yuan Qiongqiong’s novels is always to emphasize the integrity of human subjectivity.
