The Tnteractive Research Of Documentaries From The Perspective Of Interactive Ritual Chain

With the development of Internet technology and the decline of communication fees,online video platforms have become the mainstream platform for people to watch videos.Bilibili video platform(hereinafter referred to as station B),as one of the earliest online video platforms using barrage technology,has been widely welcomed.Documentaries are broadcasted from traditional platforms to online platforms,and their interaction with the audience is also profoundly affected by the barrage technology.This article takes the documentary Innovative China as the main research object,and makes use of Collins’ interactive ritual theory to conduct a qualitative and quantitative analysis of documentary barrage,and to explore the impact of barrage interaction on the documentary and its appeal to the audience.This article mainly expands from the following three aspects.First,based on the theory of interactive rituals,it clarifies that the documentary has the basic elements to form an interactive ritual chain,including four aspects: presence method,interactive focus,outsider definition,and emotional connection.Secondly,it discusses the key elements and common focus of the interactive ceremony of Innovative China,explains how the documentary and its audience participate in the ceremony,and analyzes the common focus formed by the barrage word cloud analysis.Finally,it uses barrage emotional calculations to find the point where high emotional energy occurs,and analyzes the results of the interaction.The author believes that the audience enters the interactive ceremony by sending barrage.Guided by the audiovisual and narrative rhythm of the documentary,the audience gives feedback to the focus of the video by communicating with other members to share group emotions and complete the interactive ceremony.The audience,as participants in the ceremony,are evoked with positive and high emotions,which are mainly manifested in a sense of identification with advanced technology,a sense of admiration for scientific and technological personnel,and a sense of pride in the country.The emotional energy of the audience will accumulate and transform shorttermemotions into long-term emotions.Since the patriotic barrage discourse created and formed in the subcultural network will turn into the capital symbol accumulated in the platform,the audience will establish the national sacred object in the interaction,and the nation/country will become the concrete object of collective identity.
