| Childhood is an important period for motor and psychological development.Among them,7-8 years old is an important period for the development of gross motion to the development of fine motion. In terms of cognition,7-8 years old is in the middle of pre-operational stage and concrete operational stage,in which the characteristics of children’s perception gradually transition from self-centrality and irreversibility to self-centrality and thinking reversibility. At present, sports dance is developing rapidly in our country.Long-term Latin dance training is beneficial to improve children’s body shape, improve body function, and reduce the proportion of obese children while enhancing physical fitness. It is beneficial to cultivate good psychological quality, volitional character and moral sentiment, and promote the healthy development of children’s body and mind. Therefore, this study selected 7-8 year-old Latin dance trainers, with the purpose of demonstrating the positive effects of long-term Latin dance training on children’s motor development and mental health, and improving children’s physical quality. This article uses experimental methods, mathematical statistics and other research methods to select 40 7-8 year-old children in the Latin dance interest class of Xuzhou Junyi Art Training Institution as the experimental group, and 40 7-8 year-old children in Xuzhou Shuren Cultural and Educational Institution As a control group, remove the invalid subjects, and finally select 30 test subjects from the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group carried out 8 weeks of Latin dance training with a duration of 90 minutes 5 times a week. The control group and the experimental group used TGMD-3 to test children’s gross movement development before and after the experiment. The "Primary School Mental Health Assessment Scale","Children’s Physical Self-esteem Scale" and "Self-Confidence Scale" were used to test children’s mental health. The test data was processed and analyzed by spss23.0,and the independent sample T test and paired sample T test were used to compare differences between groups and within groups. Results :(1)After 8-week Latin dance training intervention, the experimental group significantly improved the total score of body displacement items and object control items compared with the control group, indicating that Latin dance training can promote the development of children’s gross movements.(2)In the body displacement events, there was a significant improvement in the forward slide step,one-foot jump, jumping, standing long jump and sideslip step, while there was no significant improvement in running.(3)In object control, there was no significant improvement in the three items except one-hand spot dribbling, shoulder throwing and two-hand clapper hitting and bouncing ball, while the other four items all had significant improvement.(4)After intervention, the mental health of the experimental group was significantly different from that of the control group in six dimensions: mood disorders, character defects, social adjustment disorders, bad habits, moral defects and behavior disorders.(5)After intervention, the physical self-esteem of the experimental group was significantly different from that of the control group in nine dimensions of motor skills, physical activity, strength, speed, flexibility, endurance, coordination, appearance and overall self-esteem.(6)The confidence level of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group after intervention, showing a significant difference.Research conclusions:(1)Through an 8-week experimental study: Latin dance training significantly improves the body displacement and object control movement development of children aged 7-8 years.(2)Latin dance training can effectively promote the development of coarse motor ability of 7-8 year old children.(3)Latin dance training can greatly improve the physical self-esteem and self-confidence of children aged 7-8.At the same time,it promotes the positive development of mental health of children aged 7-8. |
