With the increase of China’s international influence,the number of people eager to understand Chinese culture and learn Chinese is increasing day by day.International Chinese education is also facing more challenges while developing.How to optimize teaching design and improve teaching quality has become a major concern for international Chinese language workers.The teaching of comprehensive courses has always been at the core of international Chinese education,and the teaching Chinese as a foreign language at the intermediate stage plays a role in linking the past and the future.Therefore,the teaching design of the intermediate comprehensive courses of Chinese as a foreign language deserves further in-depth exploration and thinking.At present,situational teaching method is widely used in various types of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which can not only make learners feel the fun of learning Chinese,but also make Chinese teaching more three-dimensional.This paper takes the situational teaching method as the theoretical support and takes the intermediate level learners of Chinese as the teaching object,and designs a more targeted and practical teaching design of comprehensive courses,hoping to make a small contribution to the cause of international Chinese education.Before the design,this article first elaborated the research origin,research purpose and significance,research methods,and sorted out the relevant literature,and summarized the relevant content of situational teaching method.Then,a front-end analysis was carried out from the aspects of the feasibility,teaching elements and teaching design principles of the situational teaching method applied to the intermediate comprehensive course of Chinese as a foreign language.The analysis shows that the situational teaching method is helpful to improve the teaching effect,enrich the teaching methods and increase the students’ participation.It can be unified with the teaching goal of comprehensive course,fit in with the teaching link and adapt to the teaching content.In the design,attention is paid to integrating the situational teaching method into the teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching key and difficult points as well each link of teaching process.After the design,the teaching practice of the teaching design is carried out,and the teaching design is evaluated according to the feedback from both teachers and students,summarizing the merits and areas for improvement,and giving suggestions for the use of the design.
