| Reading is an indispensable human activity and an important part of English teaching.English courses in junior high school attach great importance to the cultivation of students’ reading ability.However,in reality,many junior high school students’ reading ability is still at a relatively low level.One of the reasons is that there still exists the traditional teacher-centered teaching model in most junior high school English reading teaching,which mainly focuses on teachers’ unilateral language knowledge indoctrination.The classroom lacks meaningful communication and interaction and ignores students’ subjective initiative,which greatly erases students’ interest in English reading.In the face of this situation,the author believes that it is necessary to create a student-centered teaching model that can be committed to improving students’ interest and initiative in English reading and cultivating students’ comprehensive ability for language use.The author draws on the relevant literature at home and abroad on interactive teaching model,English reading teaching,and the application of interactive teaching model in English reading teaching,based on the interaction hypothesis,the output hypothesis and the constructivism theory,applying the interactive teaching model to the junior high school English reading class in order to answer the following two questions:(1)Can the application of interactive teaching model in junior high school English reading teaching effectively improve students’ interest and initiative in English reading?(2)Can the application of interactive teaching model in junior high school English reading teaching effectively improve students’ English reading ability?The author takes 96 students in two classes of Grade 8 in No.21 Middle School in Guiyang City as the research subjects,including class(5)as the experimental class and class(6)as the control class.In the three-month teaching experiment,the author adopts the interactive teaching model in English reading teaching for the experimental class,while the traditional teaching model is used for the control class.This thesis adopts the method of questionnaire,test and interview to obtain relevant data and information,and analyzes the relevant data through SPSS26.0.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The application of interactive teaching model in junior high school English reading teaching can effectively improve students’ interest and initiative in English reading.(2)The application of interactive teaching model in junior high school English reading teaching can effectively improves students’ English reading ability.The three-month interactive teaching experiment proves that the interactive teaching model is helpful to the teaching of English reading in junior high school.With the rapid development of information technology and the renewal of teaching ideas,interactive teaching model will certainly be constantly innovated with the influence of various factors of the times,therefore,teachers need to constantly adjust the interactive teaching model according to the actual situation of teaching,so that it can better serve the teaching of English reading in junior high school. |
