| With the progress of the globalization,English education has gained great attention.Reading is regarded as an essential language skill in English education,by which students get language input.Its importance is even more apparent in Chinese foreign language teaching environment.Thus,improving reading skills and strategies is necessary.However,at present,a gap exists between the ability of junior high students and the reading targets.One of its reasons is that the monotony in the current English reading teaching,and students’ understanding of reading materials is not sufficient,and the application is not in place.Therefore,it is necessary to study other teaching methods to improve the teaching effect.Existing research shows that Interactive Teaching Model has its own advantages in improving the teaching environment.It treats the student as the subject,facilitating the understanding of student towards the target knowledge and apply it in real language circumstances.Therefore,based on constructivism and humanism theories,an empirical study was implemented on junior high English reading in Urumqi No.46 junior high school.In the teaching experiment,the Interactive Teaching Model was utilized in the experimental class,whilst,in the control class,the traditional teaching method was used.After ten weeks of teaching experiment,the following conclusions are drawn through SPSS22.0 data analysis of students’ questionnaire,interview,pre-test and post-test: 1.The Interactive Teaching Model has enhanced English reading interest of the junior high students;2.The Interactive Teaching Model has lifted the students’ English reading scores.Compared with the past teaching way,Interactive Teaching Model has its unique advantages.The findings could inspire this study with that in the use of Interactive Teaching Model in Junior English,teachers must ensure that the interaction is strong enough,and students are put as the main body.Special talents should be paid not let students have a sense of dependence on the teacher;And pay attention to controlling the class discipline,adopting diverse ways of performance assessment and cultivate good learning strategies of the students. |
