| Reading is a key educational module in high school English teaching.The quality of students’ English reading reflects their comprehensive English ability to a certain extent.Whether students can realize the comprehensive application of English knowledge also determines the effectiveness of senior high school English teaching to a certain extent.Therefore,strengthening the energy investment in senior high school English teaching and scientifically designing and planning all links and processes of English reading teaching have become the key to improve the quality and efficiency of English teaching.As an innovative teaching model,cooperative learning model has been widely applied in senior high school English reading teaching.It not only helps to strengthen students’ main role,but also stimulates students’ enthusiasm and initiative for senior high school English classroom,so that the students in the cooperative learning group can have the advantages of forming good reading ability,rich reading skills,and deepening English reading in various aspects of English vocabulary and sentence grammar,thus to improve high school English teaching results,promote the formation of the students in senior high school English subject core literacy.This paper discusses and studies the role of cooperative learning in senior high school English Reading Teaching in the form of action research,takes the class as a research case,and then carries out the teaching design of cooperative learning based on the current situation of senior high school English reading teaching,so as to prove the role of cooperative learning model in senior high school English teaching.At this stage,it mainly explores the following three questions: First,how to apply the teaching mode of cooperative learning in senior high school English reading teaching? Second,how does the cooperative learning teaching model affect students’ cooperative consciousness and cooperative ability? Third,how does the cooperative learning teaching model affect students’ English reading performance?After the inquiry,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the English reading comprehension scores of the students in class one for two years,before and after the action.The experimental results show that the quality of English Reading Teaching in senior high school through cooperative learning mode is better,and the students’ reading ability,reading interest,reading methods and reading speed are also improved compared with those before action.In addition,the students in this class have significantly improved their autonomous learning ability,oral expression ability and learning interest after practical teaching.In the classroom,the frequency of individual communication and group communication is also higher than that before the experiment.In addition,the experimental results also fully show that the active use of cooperative teaching mode in senior high school English reading teaching is helpful to strengthen the quality of teaching and enable students to gradually form good reading ability and reading habits.At the same time,promoting high school English Reading Teaching in the mode of cooperative learning can also help students optimize their academic performance,so as to continuously improve the effectiveness of high school English teaching,lay a solid foundation for students’ English learning and gradually form good language ability.In the follow-up teaching and research,the author will also be committed to a deeper exploration of the role of cooperative learning in senior high school English reading teaching,and is committed to building an innovative English reading teaching model and improving the teaching level,in order to achieve richer research results. |
