A Report On English-chinese Translation Of Informative Text Under The Theory Of Translation Shifts ——Boosting The Use Of Artificial Intelligence In Europe’s Micro,Small And Medium-sized Enterprises(excerpt)

In recent years,artificial intelligence（AI）has significantly changed our way of life.To encourage micro,small and medium-sized enterprises（MSMEs）to actively promote AI applications,governments splash money on AI and expect to win in the fierce competition.Based on this background,the author selects the study Boosting the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Europe’s Micro,Small and Medium-sized Enterprises（excerpt）published by European Economic and Social Committee as the translation material for analysis.The excerpted text used in the thesis falls into the category of informative text according to the classification of text types by Reiss（2004）.By consulting the literature,the author believes that the semantic equivalence pursued by translation shifts theory has something in common with the accurate transmission of information presented by informative texts.Taking this as a hypothesis,the author explores the guiding significance of translation shifts theory to informative texts.The translation report consists of four parts.The first part（Chapters 1）introduces the source text and translation process.The second part（Chapter 2 and 3）focuses on the literature review and application of theory.The third part（Chapter 4）discusses the typical cases under the theory and specific problems encountered in translation practice.The third part concludes the discoveries during the translation and limitations of the theory.
