Whole grains is a collective term for traditional Chinese food crops.As early as the "Huang Di Nei Jing",there was a saying of "Japonica rice,adzuki beans,wheat,soybeans,and yellow millet".With the development of history,the concepts and meanings of whole grains have also changed from time to time,and their content has also changed due to geographical differences and changes of times,and has been accompanied by human evolution to this day.The "Huangdi Neijing" also puts forward the dietary principle of "five grains for nourishment,five fruits for help,five animals for benefit,five vegetables for filling,combined smell and consumption,to replenish lean and nourish vital energy",which clarifies the nutritional value of whole grains.It also shows the important position of whole grains in human diet.Especially in today’s situation of material a bundance,uneven diet,and overnutrition,it can highlight its value.Today,there are a large number of whole grain products in the consumer market,and their brands,packaging,appeals and other forms also have their own characteristics.In order to better meet the needs of consumers,designers also do their best to tap the hidden design value to guide and attract different consumer groups.This thesis is about the research and practice of the packaging of whole grains.The thesis is divided into three parts.First,it sorts out the connotation and development of whole grains,and discusses the connotation of Chinese grain culture from the aspects of farming,diet and folk customs,in order to find the inner design concept.Secondly,through excellent cases of domestic and foreign cereals packaging,from different perspectives such as packaging positioning,color application,image application,material selection,and component form,the characteristics of different brands at home and abroad are analyzed,and their advantages and disadvantages are found,and they are trying to summarize the grains.The general rules of grain packaging design provide theoretical support for their design practice.Finally,with the "Small Granary" brand as the design object,through the analysis of consumer and market positioning,the concept of "health preservation" in Wugu culture is selected,and creative points such as product attributes,weight packaging,and green concepts are strengthened,and serialized in the form of illustrations.Packaging design and other auxiliary product design,in order to show the bright,natural and nutritious brand cultural attributes.Based on the brand of "Small Granary",through the theoretical combing and practice of packaging design,this article hopes to enrich and expand the packaging forms of grains and provide suggestions for domestic food packaging design.
