China’s carbon dioxide emissions are among the highest in the world all year round,and environmental problems bring serious crisis to human survival.The central economic work conference at the end of 2020 clearly stressed the importance of energy conservation and emission reduction,and it is urgent to formulate a carbon peak plan.Manufacturing industry is the key target of carbon emission control in China.The carbon dioxide emitted by manufacturing industry is far higher than that of other industries every year.On the premise of not affecting economic development,it is an inevitable choice for our country to alleviate the downward pressure of economy and protect the ecological environment by opening new kinetic energy of innovation and promoting the green upgrading of manufacturing industry.As an important way to realize the high quality development of our country’s economy,green technology innovation has the dual effect of economy and ecology.By studying the impact of green technological innovation on carbon emissions in manufacturing industry,formulating scientific,reasonable and effective control measures to give full play to its economic and social benefits,it is of great practical significance to achieve the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutralization.China has entered the ranks of high-quality development countries.This paper studies the impact of green technological innovation on carbon emissions in manufacturing industry,mainly from three aspects: theoretical analysis,empirical test and suggestions.Firstly,the theoretical basis of the impact of green technological innovation on carbon emissions in manufacturing industry is studied,and the measurement and analysis of green technological innovation and carbon emissions in manufacturing industry are carried out from the provincial level and industry level,which lays a foundation for the establishment of the model.Secondly,on the basis of relevant theoretical research,an analytical model is established for quantitative research,and the impact of green technological innovation on carbon emissions in manufacturing industry is empirically tested by using the data of manufacturing industry and 26 branches of manufacturing industry in 30 provinces and cities from 2007 to 2017.In the end,according to the conclusion,combined with the current situation and policy background of China’s development,the specific suggestions to promote the low-carbon development of manufacturing industry are put forward.Through theoretical and empirical analysis,this paper concludes that green technological innovation ability has a negative effect on carbon emissions in manufacturing industry,that is,the improvement of green technological innovation level can realize equipment upgrading,production process optimization and production mode upgrading,realize manufacturing production structure upgrading,green,promote manufacturing carbon emission level reduction and protect ecological environment.Based on the above conclusions,governments at all levels can rationally design incentive or control-oriented environmental policies in view of the characteristics of different regions and industries,deepen the reform of energy consumption structure and stimulate the enthusiasm of enterprises in green transformation.
