The modern copper smelting process is mainly based on the pyrometallurgical process,and its main process is smelting and blowing.However,with the gradual increase in my country's demand for copper,high-grade copper concentrates were declining.my country was facing a state of lack of high-grade copper ore,and its exploitable copper ore The grade had dropped to 0.2%,and the raw material faced by the smelter will be copper concentrate with increasing impurity content.Reducing the copper content in the slag was currently a concern of most smelters.In this paper,copper electric furnace slow cooling slag and copper converter slag produced by a smelting company in Yunnan were used as experimental raw materials,the research on reducing the viscosity of slow cooling slag of copper electric furnace and the copper content in the upper layer of the slag,the theoretical calculation and experimental verification of the viscosity of copper converter slag under the conditions of different components and addition of additives has been carried out.The specific research results were as follows:(1)Under the experimental conditions of high temperature natural sedimentation,the composition of the slow cooling slag of the copper electric furnace was changed,and the viscosity of the copper slag and the copper content of the slag were studied with different Fe/SiO2ratios and CaO additives content,and the influence of CaO additives on the copper slag liquid was calculated by combining with FactSage thermodynamics software.The influence of phase line temperature and liquid phase area.The results show that when Fe O was added to increase the Fe/SiO2ratio from 1.3to 1.7,the viscosity of the copper slag gradually decreased,and the copper content of the upper layer of the slag decreased from 0.38%to 0.31%.However,when the Fe/SiO2ratio decreased from 1.3 to 1.1 when SiO2was added,the viscosity increases from 0.25Pa·s to 0.32 Pa·s.When the optimal Fe/SiO2ratio was 1.4 and the addition of CaO was9%,the copper content in the upper layer of the slag reaches the lowest 0.30%.Then,the liquidus temperature of the slow cooling slag of copper electric furnace was calculated by FactSage thermodynamics software.With the addition of CaO,the liquidus temperature decreased from about 1305°C to 1235°C,and the liquid phase area gradually increased.(2)Using FactSage thermodynamics software,combined with Roscoe equation,theviscosity of the six-element slag system Fe O-SiO2-CaO-Mg O-Al2O3-Fe3O4copper converter slag was calculated theoretically.When the copper converter slag composition control range was Fe O 45%?55%,SiO225%?35%,CaO 0?10%,Mg O0?5%,Al2O30?6%,Fe3O40?15%,the smelting process was in progress Slag has good fluidity and low viscosity.The experimental verification value was in good agreement with the theoretical calculation value,indicating that the calculation value was more accurate.
