Zhang Xianxuan's Theory And Application Of "Wind Rises To Life"

Objective:Through the analysis of the theoretical basis,meaning,drug characteristics,clinical application and its influence on later generations of Zhang Yuansu "Feng Sheng Sheng".This paper seeks the omni-directional understanding of "Feng Sheng Sheng" and explores the theory of Zhang Yuansu’s medicinal properties and the characteristics of its prescription,as well as the theoretical source of "wind medicine".Methods:This topic adopts the method of combining literature analysis and data mining to carry on the research.By using the method of philology,this paper analyzes the theoretical basis of Zhang Yuansu "Feng Sheng Sheng" from three angles:odor thickness theory,theory of classifying drugs according to phenomena and floating and sinking theory,and analyzes the meaning of "Feng Sheng Sheng" from the word meaning and connotation of "Feng","Sheng"and "Sheng".The method of data mining is used to analyze the medicine and its application characteristics of "Feng Sheng Sheng".Results:The medicinal properties of the twenty "Feng Sheng Sheng" drugs such as Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Notopterygium and Skunk Bugbane Rhizome are warm,slightly warm,flat and slightly cold,with the warm and flat properties being the main ones.There are five kinds of medicine flavors,including pungent,bitter,pungent-bitter,bitter-sweet and sweet,of which bitter drugs are the most,followed by pungent drugs.There are thirteen drugs such as Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Chinese Ligusticum Rhizome and Notopterygium with clear attribution to the meridians,in which each meridian is involved.Among the main treatments of "Feng Sheng Sheng" drugs,wind-stroke and head facial features diseases are the most frequent,with seventeen times,followed by superficial symptoms,with fourteen times.The top ten drugs frequently used by Zhang Yuansu are Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Notopterygium,Bupleri,Szechwan Lovage Rhizome,Skunk Bugbane Rhizome,Mint,Dahurian angelica root,Doubleteeth Angelica Root,Tall Gastrodia Rhizome,and Chinese Ephedrs Herb.There are eighteen kinds of prescriptions for treating diseases and syndromes,and the top five in order are stroke,wind-heat stagnation,heat syndrome,cold and wind-heat eye disease.There are eight kinds of "Feng Sheng Sheng" medicine combinations commonly used by Zhang Yuansu.they are:Chinese Ephedrs Herb and Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Dahurian angelica root and Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Doubleteeth Angelica Root and Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Schizonepetae Spica and Mint,Schizonepetae Spica and Szechwan Lovage Rhizome,Schizonepetae Spica and Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Mint and Szechwan Lovage Rhizome,Notopterygium and Divaricate SaposhnikoviaConclusion:"Feng Sheng Sheng" is based on the theory of odor thickness,classifying drugs according to phenomena,floating and sinking,and follows the phenomenon of spring The word "wind" means flowing gas,which is the climatic feature of spring and can also become a kind of pathogenic factors that invades the human body.The word "Sheng" means upward,which is not only the movement form of spring qi,but also the movement characteristics of human liver,gallbladder,spleen and yang qi in the body.The meaning of the word "Sheng" means that vegetation has emerged from the ground,which is not only the phenological feature of spring,but also the embodiment of sufficient yang qi and unhindered activities of qi in the human body.The combination of the three words not only reflects the characteristics of spring,but also illustrates the characteristics of "Feng Sheng Sheng medicine and its function to the human body.The medicinal properties of "Feng Sheng Sheng" drugs are mainly warm and flat,following the warm and calm phenomenon of spring winds.The tastes of the medicine are mainly bitter and pungent,following the phenomenon of the spring wind to disperse and rise.The medicine of "Feng Sheng Sheng" has the characteristics of moving,rising and dispersing,as well as the effect of eliminating wind,rising and dispersing,dispelling dampness and inducing meridians,and it is mainly characterized by the effect of eliminating wind and rising.In addition,it is used in the treatment of wind diseases,superficies-syndrome,dampness,head facial features diseases,limb diseases and so on.Zhang Yuansu mostly uses ten medicines such as Divaricate Saposhnikovia,Notopterygium,Bupleri in "Feng Sheng Sheng" medicine to treat wind disease,pyretic syndrome,dampness and head facial features diseases.In clinical practice,Divaricate Saposhnikovia is often used as a principal drug,and other drugs are selected for combined use according to the differences of disease location,syndrome and symptoms.combined with the respective performance characteristics of "Fengsheng" drugs.The commonly used couplet medicines are divided into eight groups,mainly Divaricate Saposhnikovia with other drugs,followed by Schizonepetae Spica and finally Szechwan Lovage Rhizome and Mint.It can not only enhance the original efficacy of medicines,but also expand the scope of curative effect,which is conducive to the treatment of diseases.The proposal of the pharmacological theory of "Feng Shengsheng" reflects Zhang Yuansu’s academic thought in pharmacology,expands the scope of application of drugs,and lays a foundation for the birth of "wind medicine".
