Objective: To explore the application of ginger in Treatise on Typhoid and Miscellaneous Diseases, summarize Professor Zhang Xikui’s experience in clinical use of ginger, and provide some help for more comprehensive and accurate selection of ginger in clinical practice. Methods: Summarize and analyze the 107 classic prescriptions and related articles about ginger in Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Miscellaneous Diseases from multiple new angles.First, classify the system of diseases and syndromes in internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine, and count the frequency of occurrence of ginger in various diseases and syndromes;Second, based on the classification of etiology in the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, analyze the diseases caused by which ginger can be used;Third, from the perspective of pathogenesis,we summarized and analyzed the application of ginger in specific pathogenesis; The fourth is to classify the eight methods of "sweating, vomiting, lowering, harmonizing, warming, tonifying, eliminating and clearing",and count the frequency of ginger in various treatment methods; The fifth is to summarize Professor Zhang Xikui’s experience in clinical use of ginger from three aspects: efficacy application,trade-off application and case examples.result:1.According to the classification of the eight major systemic diseases in internal medicine, the prescription containing ginger can be used for the treatment of the eight major systemic diseases in internal medicine, the most commonly used are spleen and stomach diseases and qi,blood and body fluid diseases, followed by lung diseases and heart diseases, among which liver and gallbladder diseases and limb meridian diseases, the highest proportion is ginger, accounting for 83% and 93% respectively. In addition, there is also a difference between using ginger or dry ginger in the treatment of specific diseases, such as ginger for cold and dry ginger for cough.2.Prescriptions containing ginger are classified according to etiology: ginger is mainly used for exogenous pathogenic factors of wind, cold and dampness, and heat, dryness and fire are not suitable for use.It can be used for the pathogenesis of internal causes, such as seven emotions and six desires, improper diet, lack of exercise or lack of rest.It can be seen that it is used in the treatment of diseases caused by pathological products such as phlegm and blood stasis.Among other disease factors,it can be seen to be used in the treatment of diseases caused by trauma and doctors’ mistakes.3.According to the classification of pathogenesis of diseases treated by classic prescriptions,it is found that ginger is more suitable for the treatment of pathogenic diseases such as external attack of wind and cold, rheumatic block,qi stagnation and qi inversion, food stagnation, yang qi deficiency, and liver meridian cold coagulation than dry ginger; In the treatment of spleen and kidney yang deficiency, dry ginger should be used; When treating diseases with stagnation of phlegm and turbidity,it is recommended to distinguish between different positions, such as using dried ginger in the lungs, and using ginger in the middle energizer and muscle surface.4.According to the classification of treatment methods, the statistical distribution of each treatment method is as follows: sweat method 15,vomit method 0,lower method 0,harmony method 33,warming method 41,clearing method 2,elimination method 7,and tonifying method 9.In different treatment methods, the dosage range of ginger is also different and selective, with certain regularity. For example,in warm treatment, the dosage range of dry ginger is 1-4 liang, and when the dosage is 1 liang,it is often combined with warm yang drugs such as aconite.5.Professor Zhang Xikui believes that ginger can reduce nausea and stop vomiting, regulate stomach qi,warm and dissipate water and gas, make the body sweat and disperse cold, dry ginger can warm the lung and dissipate phlegm, warm the middle to dissipate cold, return yang and unblock the pulse, warm the intestines and stop diarrhea. For clinical treatment, choose whether to use ginger or dry ginger according to the pathogenesis of the disease, and the choice is reasonable and effective.Conclusion:1.Ginger can be used in the treatment of eight major syndrome systems in the textbook of internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine based on syndrome differentiation, but ginger and dried ginger havedifferentemphasis.2.Ginger can be used for diseases caused by various causes, but it is not suitable for diseases caused by "heat,dryness,andfire".3.Ginger and dried ginger differ greatly in the pathogenesis of the diseases they treat, and should be usedbasedonsyndromedifferentiation.4.Ginger is not used for vomit method and lower method, but is commonly used for warming method and harmony method. The amount of ginger used in different treatment methods, also has certain differencesandselectivity.5.Professor Zhang Xikui’s clinical use of ginger is based on inheriting the characteristics of Zhongjing’suseofginger, focusing ongraspingthecorepathogenesisandflexibly choosing medication.
