Evaluation Of Clinical Efficacy Of Eye Acupuncture Rehabilitation Therapy In The Treatment Of Upper Limb Flexor Spasm During Stroke Recovery Period

Purpose:To observe the clinical effect of eye acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy on upper limb flexor spasm during apoplexy convalescence.Material and method:Sixty-six patients in Second Department of Encephalopathy,Liaoning Rehabilitation Center of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2019 to December 2020 were selected,all of whom were suffering in upper limb flexor spasm in convalescence from stroke,meeting the requirements of this experiment.They were randomly divided into control group,33 patients who received antispasticity rehabilitation treatment;in experimental group,33 cases were treated with eye acupuncture with rehabilitation.Both groups were treated for 2 courses of treatment,each course of treatment for 2 weeks.The degree of upper limb spasticity,elbow active activity,daily living ability,pain degree and treatment safety were evaluated before and after treatment.The modified Ashworth spasticity scale(MAS),elbow active activity(AROM),analog visual scale(VAS),Barthel index score and the incidence of adverse effects were used.SPSS23.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results:1.There were no obvious differences in general information between the experimental group and the control group,(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.including gender,age,course of disease and type of stroke.2.Before treatment,there were no obvious differences in improved Ashworth scale(MAS),visual analog scale(VAS),active elbow motion(AROM)and Barthel index(BI)between experimental group and control group(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.3.There were obvious differences in improved Ashworth scale(MAS),visual analog scale(VAS),active elbow motion(AROM)and Barthel index(BI)between experimental group and control group before and after treatment(P < 0.05).4.The improved Ashworth scale(MAS),visual analog scale(VAS),active elbow motion(AROM)and Barthel index(BI)of the experimental group were better than those of the control group,with obvious differences(P < 0.05).5.The total effective rate of experimental group and control group respectively was87.88% 、75.76%,respectively,the difference was obvious(P < 0.05)Conclusion:1.Eye acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy and routine rehabilitation training are both effective for upper limb flexor spasm in stroke recovery period.2.Eye acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy and routine rehabilitation trainin can reduce pain,increase the active range of elbow motion,and improve the ability of daily activities.3.Eye acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy is better than anticonvulsive rehabilitation training in the treatment of upper limb flexor spasm during stroke recovery.4.Eye acupuncture with rehabilitation therapy has high safety and no adverse reactions.
