Recurrence is an important concept of cognitive psychology, which refers to the repetition of learning content in learning materials in a certain order,so as to deepen learners’ potential impression of learning content and grasp learning content faster. In the process of language acquisition, using recurrence reasonably plays an important role in improving the learning effect. The process of memory is the process of shortterm memory accumulating and leaping to long-term memory, and the necessary condition of quality leaping is to strengthen the comprehensibility of memory materials and increase the frequency of memory materials. The selection and arrangement of topics in spoken language textbooks plays an important role in improving the spoken language level of Chinese learners. The diversity, gradient and comprehensiveness of topics are one of the important indicators to measure the quality of a textbook. The same topic often appears many times in a set of spoken language teaching materials, while some topics appear many times in the initial and intermediate stages, some topics appear many times in the middle and advanced levels, and some topics will run through the teaching materials all the time, which are involved in the primary, intermediate and advanced teaching materials. The repetition of these topics is called recurrence, which is not a single repetition, but accompanied by The difficulty increases, the content expands, and the function complex spiral type changes.Studying the recurrence of these topics in the teaching materials plays an important role in the evaluation of the quality of spoken language teaching materials, the compilation of follow-up teaching materials and the improvement of teaching quality. On the basis of the general syllabus of international Chinese teaching(Revised Edition),the author chooses the series of textbooks of Developing Chinese-oral Chinese as the research carrier. This series of teaching materials covers five categories of topics in LV Ronglan’s(2011)topic database, among which educational topics appear in six volumes of teaching materials, accounting for 27 in total, the highest frequency of all topics, and accounting for a relatively large proportion. Therefore, from the perspective of educational topics to study the topic recurrence of the development of spoken Chinese series of textbooks has certain representativeness and scientificity, and also conforms to the research law from special to general. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction of this paper, which introduces the main research objectives and significance of this paper, followed by the analysis of the current development of this topic at home and abroad, and then introduces the specific research object and research methods used in this paper,as well as the innovation and shortcomings of this paper. In the second part,we will make statistics and list of all the educational topics in the six volumes of "Developing Chinese-oral Chinese",and further classify 27 topics according to the mode of "mother topic→sub topic",and analyze all the educational topics in the six textbooks from the perspective of situation, turn and function according to the order of the textbook, that is,learning level Three levels:intermediate level, advanced level. The author believes that the treatment of topic recurrence in textbooks is scientific from the above three aspects, which is conducive to improving the learning effect of learners. The third part is to summarize the recurrence characteristics of educational topics in the development of Chinese spoken language. The author believes that the difficulty of educational topics increases with the increase of the level of teaching materials, which is reflected in the increasing difficulty of vocabulary, the diversification of dialogue roles, the continuous extension of turns, the diversification of topic types, and the richer functions. There are two kinds of recurrence methods used in textbooks, one is repetition of the same topic and the other is derivation of new topic. In addition, the frequency of topic recurrence shows a fluctuating state, but in general,it is still in a stable range. In the fourth part, firstly, this paper analyzes the advantages and references of topic recurrence in the textbook, and holds that the grasp of emotional attitude in the textbook is more referential, the order of topic recurrence highlights the principle of"learning first, using first",and the textbook gradually introduces and deepens cultural factors in the process of recurrence.Secondly, the author also found some shortcomings in the process of topic recurrence, such as the topic coverage is not wide enough, the role relationship in the dialogue text is relatively single, and the practicability of some topics is poor.In the fifth part, the author puts forward his own suggestions and opinions from the aspects of teaching and textbook compilation.Teachers should make full use of modern teaching technology to expand their knowledge, and combine teaching materials with real life to make up for the defect of poor timeliness of some topics in teaching materials. They should also continue to strengthen after-school exercises and homework feedback, and flexibly use various homework forms.Textbooks should appropriately expand the coverage of topics, increase the types of persona relations and improve the practicability of topics. After a series of investigation, statistics, analysis and research, this paper believes that educational topics in the development of spoken Chinese show the characteristics of spiral recurrence, the difficulty of topics is increasing, the function is changing, and the content is gradually expanding. While increasing the difficulty of learning,it will also deepen the impression of similar topics in learners’ minds, which can help students to learn The improvement of learners’ oral English level reflects the rationality and scientificity of topic arrangement in the series of textbooks of Developing Chinese-oral Chinese.
