Tai Jingnong's Calligraphy Research

Tai Jingnong,Tai Jingnong,born in Huoqiu,Anhui,was a famous writer,literary critic and calligrapher in modern times.Mr.Tai Jingnong covers a wide range of fields and has rich academic achievements.The publication of his collection of short stories "Children of the Earth" and "The Tower Builder" established his status in the field of literature.However,the academic world pays more attention to his achievements in literature than to his achievements in calligraphy.This paper is a systematic study of Tai Jingnong’s calligraphy.This paper first gives a brief overview of Tai Jingnong’s life and academic achievements.Secondly from the friends of Tai Jing Nong,Tai Jing Nong life circle of friends,often with academics calligraphic art exhibit,exchange ideas,appreciating the calligraphy and painting,and lu xun,Chen duxiu,qi gong,shen yin-mo,chang contact closely,the author through the contents of the correspondence between them,sort out Tai Jing Nong insights in calligraphy;Thirdly,there are a lot of thoughts on calligraphy in Tai Jingnong’s articles.The author will take Tai Jingnong’s literary thoughts as the clue,and summarize her thoughts on calligraphy through sorting out her poems,letters and other materials.In addition,Tai Jingnong’s calligraphy is well known.He is not only clever in the concept of learning calligraphy,but also experienced in the practice of calligraphy.He is good at calligraphy and official script,and also involved in regular script,seal script and seal cutting.At last,he developed his calligraphic art to a higher level by virtue of his profound literary foundation and the creation concept of keeping pace with The Times,which inspired many contemporary scholars.The author systematically discusses Taijingnong’s concept,practice and way of learning calligraphy,in order to present Taijingnong’s calligraphy to the world in a more comprehensive and objective way,and hope to provide some reference for later calligraphers.
