| As China’s economy and society enter the stage of high-quality development,the demand for high-quality English education and the balanced development of regional English education are more prominent than ever before.But in reality,educational imbalance and school choice are still more prominent educational problems.And there is still a significant gap in the allocation of English teaching resources between regions and schools.Therefore,it is high time to discuss and pay attention to research issues such as the sharing of inter-school English teaching resources.Based on the above background,with special reference to Wanzhou,this study investigates and interviews English teachers in six junior high schools in the area through purposeful sampling,intending to reflect the current situation and problems of English teaching resources sharing in Wanzhou junior high school from two aspects: English teacher resource sharing and English material resource sharing.And this thesis also seeks countermeasures and suggestions for optimizing and promoting the sharing of English teaching resources of regional junior high school.According to the questionnaire survey and interviews,it is found that there is an excellent English teaching staff with high level and high quality in the middle school of Wanzhou.Schools realize indirect sharing of English teacher resources through various English teaching and research activities such as heterogeneous classes,teaching seminars,teaching visits,etc.,but seldom realize direct sharing through joint management,joint running and distance courses.In terms of material resources sharing.Each school has not established a digital English teaching resource bank,but transmits and shares English test papers,courseware and other teaching materials through the combination of the internet and offline exchange.But the frequency of sharing is low and the type is single and the scope is limited.Overall,Wanzhou junior high school has made some remarkable achievements in the sharing of English teaching resources,and has greatly realized the flow and sharing of English teacher resources and English teaching material resources between schools.And the sharing of English teaching resources shows its effectiveness at the same time,which is of great benefit to the improvement of English teachers’ teaching ability and the development of school English education.However,there are still a few problems that cannot be ignored in the sharing process,including the poor effect of English teachers’ sharing activities,the imperfect construction of English digital teaching resource database,the simple types of English teaching materials sharing,the insufficient awareness of sharing among the participants,etc.To solve the above problems,this study holds that schools and English teachers can improve them from the following six aspects:(1)changing the traditional concept of private ownership and establishing a sense of resource sharing;(2)strengthening inter-school offline cooperation to increase the number of shared exchanges;(3)improving the construction of hardware facilities and building inter-school sharing platforms;(4)enriching the types of resource sharing and coordinating intellectual property issues;(5)establishing a shared incentive mechanism to strengthen teachers’ shared behavior;(6)improving teachers’ information technology capabilities to achieve efficient sharing of teaching resources. |
