Research On Bu Yantu's Questions And Answers On The Mind Of Painting

This paper takes the mid-Qing painter Buyantu and his book "Questions and Answers on the Heart of Painting" as the object of study,and analyzes his theories on the method of landscape painting and brush and ink techniques,among which the ideas on realm,north and south,and natural hongmeng are new developments of the classical painting theory.In the Qing Dynasty,when the style of painting works was diversifying,Buyantu’s use of "questions and answers" to explain important painting ideas,reflecting his reflections and deepening his views on many issues in the history of Chinese painting theory,was not rare.As a minority scholar,his research and new insights into painting theory have had a profound impact on the history of painting theory.
