In June 2019,the "Opinions on Deepening Education and Teaching Reform and Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Compulsory Education" promulgated by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council clearly stated that "emphasis on situational teaching",reflecting the country’s new expectations and new requirements for situational teaching.In view of the characteristics and training goals of dance students in normal colleges and universities,this paper explores the application strategies of situational teaching in their folk dance courses,and demonstrates the feasibility and necessity of situation creation in folk dance courses through the teaching practice of lesson examples.The teaching methods of folk dance for dance majors in normal colleges and universities can provide some reference.This article is divided into four parts.The first part explains the related concepts of situational teaching and dance majors in normal colleges and universities,and analyzes the suitability and implementation principles of situational teaching in their folk dance courses according to the current situation of dance majors in normal colleges and universities and the goal of talent training.This paper provides theoretical support.The second part investigates the current situation of folk dance course teaching in dance majors in normal colleges and universities,analyzes its existing problems and reasons,and lays the foundation for the situational design of folk dance courses.The third part moves from theory to practice,with "three stages and four steps",namely teaching preparation,teaching implementation,teaching three stages of teaching reflection and situational introduction,inquiry learning,knowledge expansion,situational consolidation in the classroom four steps,performing folk dance classroom practice.The fourth part,based on the research and the author’s own practice,puts forward the optimization strategy of situational teaching,and demonstrates the application advantages of situational teaching in the folk dance courses of dance majors in normal colleges and universities.Finally,the situational teaching is summarized and prospected.
