This paper adopts the method of quantitative research,analyzes the results of the Chinese education follow-up survey(2014-2015 academic year),and investigates the influence of family cultural capital on the health of junior middle school students and the potential factors causing the differences.Individuals in the process of education to shape the good physical health attitude,habits and more happened in personal life forming stage,the stage of compulsory education of the students,the family cultural capital has effect on child habit forming,helps to cultivate good living habits,proper physical exercise consciousness,which in turn will promote a healthy,beneficial to the social development of teenagers.Through the research,we found that the family cultural capital acquired in the early formative stage of junior middle school students is significantly correlated with their overall health status.The more the stock of objectified cultural capital and physical cultural capital in the family cultural capital,the better the health condition of the children.It is worth noting that the household registration difference of students' health status gradually shrinks after the variables of cultural capital are added,indicating that cultural capital has a significant positive effect on the healthy development of junior middle school students.Secondly,in the process of the impact of family cultural capital on the health status of students,the choice of students' interests in sports and the frequency of their participation in physical exercise are significantly affected by the stock of cultural capital,which leads to the difference in physical exercise habits.The results show that the more objectified cultural capital and physical cultural capital the students acquire,the more likely they are to participate in sports,and the more frequently they participate in physical exercise,thus having a positive impact on their overall health.
