| International energy trade pattern is changing sharply as emerging market and developing countries such as China and India leading world’s increasing of energy demand. With developing of technology for exploiting fossil fuel like shale oil and natural gas hydrate, centers of international fossil energy trade show trends to moving and increasing in amount. And lines of trade get more complex.International energy trade influenced by more non-economic factors.Under the background of reducing reserves and expanding consumption of fossil energy,COVID-19 pandemic lasting, geopolitical conflict escalation, weighting effect of global climate change, there will be more uncertainty in the purpose of building a safer and more sustainable energy system. These continuously profound changes can influence energy-geopolitical condition, and bring more challenges to the order of world’s energy security cooperation. How to ensure energy security in these difficulties has become a matter about development for developing countries like China. These years, energy consumption and external dependence of oil and natural gas keep increasing with China’s process of industrialization. As the country imports most energy in the world and a country with very high degree of external dependence of energy,China is influenced largely by changes in international energy market on energy security.Based on study of international oil and natural gas trade networks in crude oil,oil production, pipeline natural gas and liquefied natural gas, this article analyzed the stability of nodes and stability of contacts in international oil and natural gas trade networks, and studied the influence towards China’s energy security from stability of international oil and natural gas trade network. The results show that stabilities of international oil and natural gas trade networks are strengthen and make further influence to China. There is a deep connection between China’s energy security and stability of international oil and natural gas trade networks. This article divides to six parts in structure.Chapter one is introduction, including background of the topic, signification of the study, theoretical basis and literature review, study methods, innovation and weakness.Chapter two shows the latest basics about international oil and natural gas trade.Chapter three analyses stability of international oil and natural gas trade networks by density, centralization, clustering coefficient and the shortest optimum path in crude oil,oil production, pipeline natural gas and liquefied natural gas markets.Chapter four finds out dependences of international oil and natural gas trade networks through stability of nodes and stability of contacts with discussions of external factors of energy trade.Chapter five focuses on China’s situation in international oil and natural gas trade networks and energy security effected by stability of international oil and natural gas trade networks.Chapter six draws the conclusion, and puts out some policy proposals. After a systematic analysis, this article considers the number of participants of international oil and natural gas trade gets more.Energy suppliers and demanders turns more diversified.International oil and natural gas trade turns more efficient.Hub nodes playing decisive roles in oil and natural gas export networks hold comparatively firm.International oil and natural gas trade networks have their own characters. The density and stability of international oil trade networks are higher than those of natural gas networks.China has had tighter connection with other countries in international oil and natural networks and made some new trading relations.Oil and natural gas import both show large amount and remarkable tendency to decentralize.China is one of main energy importers and re-exporters.Increasing in energy demand pushes China to preserve the stability of international oil and natural gas trade networks. It’s extremely necessary for China to test and drill domestic oil and natural gas sources as well as expand emergency reserve of them.Diversification of sources, means and paths of transport needs to be promoted.China should not only strengthen cooperation among oil and natural gas trade partners but also deepen other economical interact.Spreading RMB settlement in international oil and natural gas trade to prevent uncertainty from USD settlement system under impact of international relations and improve China’s initiative and priority.China needs to invest more in technology of renewable energy and Carbon Capture,Utilization and Storage(CCUS),to improve rates of using green energy such as solar power, wind power, nuclear power and biomass generates to ensure energy security. |
