The advancing direction of the first mining area of East Open-pit Mine is east to west,and it is facing the transition problem of mining area at present.In order to prepare for the transition in advance,choosing the appropriate mode of mining area turning can effectively avoid the problems such as the increase of open-pit mine cost,the increase of stripping ratio,the difficulty of coal quantity connection,etc.At the same time,the appropriate transition scheme can ensure the stable and sustainable mining of East Open-pit Mine,ensure the stability of stripping ratio during the transition period,reduce the amount of infrastructure and improve economic benefits.Therefore,it is of practical significance to put forward a reasonable steering scheme to guide the production of East Open-pit Mine.According to the actual mining situation of East Open-pit Mine,this paper establishes the geological model of East Open-pit Mine deposit,and analyzes the mining area division and mining sequence.In the analysis process,factors such as coal amount,stripping amount,stripping ratio,exploration situation and coal quality are used for comparison.This paper analyzes the characteristics and application scope of different steering modes,studies the main influencing factors in the transition scheme of the first mining area,calculates the steering mode of the geological model of the open pit mine,determines its connecting position by superimposing the ore and rock scales of the new and old mining areas,and analyzes the change curve of the production stripping ratio,the balanced stripping ratio during the transition period,the transitional service life and the horizontal transportation distance,etc.The results show that the established geological model of the deposit has the functions of three-dimensional scientific calculation and visualization,including earthwork stripping,rock and soil stripping and coal calculation.According to the first mining area’s high exploration degree,good coal quality,coal amount of 400.3922 Mt,stripping amount of 1899.4987m3 and stripping-mining ratio of 4.47m3/t,it is determined that the first mining area spans the middle of the ore field.According to the mining area division scheme 1,the stripping ratio of each mining area is smaller than that of stripping ratio in scheme 2,and it is determined that the first mining area is divided along the trend in the middle of the ore field,and the other mining areas are divided along the strike;The fan-shaped steering and L-shaped steering are simulated in the first mining area of open pit mine.The data analysis shows that the best steering mode is the fanshaped steering scheme,and its reasonable continuous engineering position is 17.During the fan-shaped steering,the stripping ratio is 4.887m3/t,the transportation distance is 3.73 km,and the steering transition time is 7.12 a,all of which are better than the L-shaped steering scheme.
