Interpretation And Redesign Of Life Symbols In Miao Embroidery Patterns

In the era of highly developed material civilization and industrial civilization,people’s pursuit of material,technology and utilitarianism overrides everything,and many designs promote people’s desire for excessive consumption,resulting in the lack of spiritual life of modern people.The rise of information technology,the design language of human-computer interaction has brought human life into a highly information symbolic situation,and people are eager to contact free and spiritual,vital art forms to balance technology,rationality,and the constraints brought by them,in order to settle the home of the soul.As a brilliant branch of China’s intangible cultural heritage,Miao embroidery is worth studying and learning from its vibrant visual language and free artistic creation thinking.Therefore,this project hopes to find a design language with life imagery by studying and interpreting the life symbols in the Miao embroidery pattern,so as to enrich the language expression form of our modern design.And take jewelry design as an example,practice the use of this life symbol form as a method in design.This paper takes the life symbols in the Miao embroidery pattern as the research object,and first of all,through traceability,definition and classification,combs and interprets the relationship between the historical migration,living environment,witch culture and miao embroidery pattern of the Miao people,and clarifies the specific content of the specific objects referred to by the Miao embroidery life symbols;Then,from the aspects of modeling language,color language,and application of life symbols,the visual form characteristics,spiritual connotations and unique artistic thinking behind the life symbols in the Miao embroidery pattern are analyzed in detail,and the deep life concept and creative concept behind the Miao embroidery life symbols are explained;Further explore the enlightenment of life symbols in Miao embroidery patterns to contemporary jewelry design,trace the relationship between the origin of jewelry and Miao embroidery,analyze the current situation of contemporary jewelry design and the application of Miao embroidery in contemporary jewelry design,and then summarize the techniques of jewelry design creation based on the life concept of Miao embroidery;Finally,the theory is combined with practice,the enlightenment of life symbols in Miao embroidery patterns is applied to jewelry creation,and the shape of seemingly non-image,free and free,rich and harmonious,rich and warm color expression is integrated into the jewelry creation with the theme of "Tree of Life",expressing the attachment of modern people to the source of life and the spiritual homeland,thus practicing the design thinking and method of life expression summarized in this article from the miao embroidery life symbols.
