Research On Visual Expression Design Of Wood Based Panel Decorative Paper Based On Kansei Engineering

Decorative paper veneer artificial board,as a widely used decorative material in indoor living environments,must meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.With the development and progress of society,the main contradiction in society has transformed into a contradiction between the growing needs of the people for a better life and imbalanced and inadequate development.In view of the development needs of decorative paper facing wood-based panels,this paper,based on Kansei engineering,design psychology,design theory and other knowledge,has carried out research and practice on visual expression and perceptual image of wood-based panel decorative paper by means of research.Firstly,the visual expression and design elements of artificial board decorative paper were investigated and analyzed.The color,material,and texture forms of the decorative paper are diverse and dazzling.The main forms of expression include:imitation natural wood grain,imitation stone texture,solid color,vacuum coating(blistering),imitation metal material,decorative paper,imitation fabric coating,surface grid,surface coating,imitation leather,defect design,and old design.The design elements include color,texture,and material,and are divided into decorative paper for decoration and functional decorative paper according to the application situation and function.Secondly,through the perceptual image experiment and semantic difference method in Kansei engineering,the perceptual image of wood-based panel decorative paper was investigated and studied.Combined with the SPSS average method,the user’s perceptual demand for the visual performance of wood-based panel decorative paper was obtained.The result expressed with emotional semantic vocabulary was"scientific,aesthetic,symmetrical,three-dimensional and organic".Once again,based on research data and experimental test results,a visual expression design principle for artificial board decorative paper with practicality,novelty,and organic characteristics was proposed,and visual expression design methods such as "enriching surface pattern forms","integrating organic design",and"making old design" were summarized.Finally,based on the principles and methods of visual expression design for decorative paper,evaluation and verification of design practice schemes were carried out for works such as "weaving dreams" with aesthetic focus and rich surface patterns,"dream brocade" that reflects symmetrical and emotional needs,"concave and convex" that highlights three-dimensional sense,and "like fish in water" that integrates organic design.The research on the visual expression design of wood-based panel decorative paper based on Kansei engineering has good practicability and effectiveness,and has positive significance for the visual expression design of wood-based panel decorative paper and the development of the industry.
