Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On Green Technology Innovation Of Manufacturing Enterprises

Digitalisation has given the national economy and micro-enterprises the momentum to transform and upgrade.At present,there is a large gap between the green technological innovation capacity of Chinese enterprises and the requirements of high-quality economic development.As a new technological paradigm in the information age,the digital economy relies on a high degree of integration between digital technology and the real economy,and the study of how the digital economy can promote the development of enterprise technological innovation in the direction of green and clean is an effective way to enhance the green innovation capacity of enterprises,promote the green development of industry and solve environmental pollution and other problems.The article firstly sorts out four theories related to digital economy and enterprise green technology innovation,namely innovation theory,technology innovation theory,green technology innovation theory and sustainable development theory.Based on that,the mechanism of digital economy affecting the green technology innovation of manufacturing enterprises is explored further,and four research hypotheses are put forward:(1)Digital economy can promote the improvement of green technology innovation level of manufacturing enterprises;(2)By improving the level of human capital,digital economy has a positive impact on green technology innovation in manufacturing enterprises;(3)By improving dynamic capabilities,digital economy has a positive impact on green technology innovation of manufacturing enterprises;(4)The reduction of financing constraints can strengthen the positive impact of the digital economy on the green technology innovation of manufacturing enterprises.Using a total of 17,614 data from 2,066 A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2020,the article constructs an econometric model of the impact of the digital economy on enterprises’ green technological innovation.There are significant differences between enterprises of different sizes,different regions,different industries and different ownership when the digital economy affects green technological innovation in manufacturing enterprises.Specifically,(1)Compared to large-scale enterprises,the impact of the digital economy on small and medium-sized enterprises is stronger than that on large-scale enterprises;(2)Compared to central and western regions,the positive contribution of the digital economy to green technological innovation is more significant in eastern regions;(3)Compared to labour-intensive and capital-intensive enterprises,the positive impact of the digital economy on green technological innovation is more significant in technology-intensive enterprises(4)The impact of digitalisation of manufacturing enterprises on green technology innovation in non-state enterprises is more significant than that of state-owned enterprises.Finally,it is necessary to conclude the following policy recommendations:(1)Accelerate digital application to improve green technology innovation;(2)Open up the transmission mechanism of digital transformation to guide and help manufacturing enterprises deepen their digital transformation;(3)Improve the problem of enterprise financing constraints;(4)Formulate and implement refined and differentiated industrial policies based on the heterogeneity of scale,regional,industry and ownership differences in the impact of the digital economy on green technology innovation in manufacturing enterprises.
