A Study On The Application Of The Cultural Elements Of Jade Bi In The Design Of Ceramic Tableware

Jade bi are one of the most common and far-reaching types of jade artifacts in the jade culture of ancient China.Originating in the Neolithic Age,they reached the peak at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty,and continued to the Ming and Qing dynasties,going through the whole process of the development of ancient jade in China.With their unique shape and decorations,the jade bi carried the cultural connotations of ancient etiquette for the heaven,burial object,hierarchy,good will,spiritual symbol,etc.Compared with other types of jade ware,jade bi have a special position and research value.Ceramic tableware is a traditional type of tableware in China.Since its appearance,it has experienced a long and rich development process,and its shapes,decorations,colors,patterns and cultural connotations are rich and diverse with unique characteristics.The functions of ceramic tableware range from cooking to food serving to drinking,playing an important role in the family use scenarios and the catering industry in contemporary China.This paper takes the cultural elements of jade bi as the research theme,and ceramic tableware as the research carrier.First,this paper summarizes the cultural elements of jade bi through a historical investigation.Secondly,this paper analyzes and studies the historical development and current situation of ceramic tableware,so as to deeply understand the ceramic tableware under the background of Chinese traditional culture,and summarize the development demand orientation and innovation direction of ceramic tableware today.Thirdly,after forming the basic theory of the paper,this study will analyze the application cases of the cultural elements of jade bi in the field of design,so as to analyze the feasibility of applying them to ceramic tableware,and summarize the forms,values and principles during the application process.Finally,this study will translate the theoretical analysis into practical cases.Through the application of design elements and a large number of sketches,the final design proposal will be created,and works of ceramic tableware embodying the cultural elements of Jade bi will be produced.While promoting the better inheritance and development of the jade culture,this study also provides new ideas and methods for the application of other traditional Chinese cultures in the field of ceramic design.
