Hainan Li Cultural Elements Are Integrated Into The Research Of New Chinese Furniture Design

With the internationalization of Hainan’s "International Design Island" in 2010 and "International Tourism Island" in 2020,Hainan will play a leading and exemplary role in domestic design.Furniture,a material conveyor of ethnic history and culture,has evolved with the times and society’s development;however,it is not without its flaws,such as stylized and batch design of industrial society products,a lack of ethnic aesthetic charm,and formal connotations.Hainan’s regional cultural characteristics and ethnic traditional are also integral to this "new Chinese" furniture.culture and art gradually faded out of people’s vision,only in some ethnic minority scenic spots can be retained,the construction of international design island can not be separated from the excavation of Hainan regional culture,as Hainan native of the Li ethnic group its culture continuation is particularly important,ethnic culture is the bloodline of regional culture,but also the designer’s inexhaustible source of design.An exploration of methods to incorporate Li culture into the design of new Chinese furniture,taking into account Hainan’s distinctive Li culture,is conducted to analyze the formal characteristics and cultural implications of Li decoration and architectural cultural elements.This research seeks to provide solutions and innovative ideas for the current innovative design of ethnic culture and the difficulties encountered in the design of new Chinese furniture.Exploring the integration of Li cultural elements into the design of new Chinese furniture is a practical exploration of furniture design,uniting the ethnicity and contemporaneity,stimulating the continuation of ethnic culture and the proliferation of Chinese furniture culture.Through the research of new Chinese furniture brands and mahogany furniture factories in the furniture city,the author has mastered the basic styles sold in the new Chinese furniture market,and through the one-month on-site internship in the mahogany furniture factory,he understands the design process and production links of mahogany furniture products,analyzes the problems of new Chinese furniture in the design process that is not suitable for modern people’s life,and conducts research and analysis on new Chinese furniture with regional cultural elements;Through checking the literature,understand the connotation of Li characteristic culture and new Chinese furniture culture,as well as the content related to this paper delves into the classic design of both domestic and foreign new Chinese furniture,exploring the strategies of cultural integration,system independence,element diversity,innovative contemporary and other design strategies,and the refinement of Li cultural elements.It also outlines the design methods used in its initial stages,before finally implementing the design.of the "Guili" series of furniture,which is used to verify the research on the integration of cultural elements into the design methods of new Chinese furniture,in order to provide certain design practice cases for the research on the integration of ethnic culture into new Chinese furniture.
