The ribbon is a traditional handicraft of the She people and an important part of the traditional clothing culture of the She people.The "symbol characters" in it carry the history and cultural context of the She people,which can be passed down for thousands of years without changing,showing high design value.However,through field investigations and personal interviews,combined with design semiotics and theoretical research on She ethnic group ribbons,this paper finds that there are three problems in the creative products of She ethnic group ribbons: the use of two-dimensional element features,the proliferation of ribbon symbols,and the limitations of ribbon experience products.These problems involve the comprehensive application of symbols,design and products.Therefore,this article will analyze the characteristics and culture of ribbon symbols from the perspective of design semiotics,construct a transformation model of She ethnic ribbon symbols with the help of design semiotics theory,and discuss the design of ribbon creative products conversion path.Based on this,this paper expounds the structure of the symbol transformation model of the She ethnic group’s ribbon from three levels: the symbol layer,the product layer,and the method layer.First of all,in the semiotic layer,the theoretical elaboration is carried out from the semantic,syntactic and pragmatic dimensions of the design semiotics system.Secondly,in the product layer,the extension and connotation of the ribbons of the She ethnic group,the constituent elements and rules of the ribbons,the aesthetic thought and the consumption environment embodied in the ribbon culture are analyzed,and then the superficial characteristics,deep structure and cultural connotation of the ribbons of the She ethnic group are clarified.Finally,in the method layer,based on the semantic,syntactic and pragmatic dimensions,this paper proposes three transformation methods: the repeated composition of ribbon elements,the repeated ideology of brand symbols,and the experience operation of products,so as to provide rich evolution patterns and dissemination for creative products of ribbons.Channels promote the integration of streamer culture into the behavior habits and lifestyles of modern users.Through the comprehensive use of the above three methods,this paper integrates the decoration layout and weaving structure of the ribbon into the designed product,avoids the two-dimensional design of elements,retains the symbolic meaning of the ribbon,and constructs the decorative space of the ribbon experience hall.This not only helps to excavate and extend the use value,social value and commercial value of ribbon culture in the contemporary era,but also provides designers with ideas for extracting traditional cultural elements,and provides a certain reference for the design and innovation of current ethnic cultural products.
