| Rural ecological environment is an important factor limiting the development of agriculture.Agricultural technology plays a key role in ensuring the quality of agricultural products and promoting the development of modern agriculture.Green production technology is the main path to achieve green agricultural development,but the low adoption of green production technology by farmers makes it difficult for the technology to form a scale effect.In this paper,a questionnaire survey was conducted to understand the risk perceptions of farmers and the current status of green production in Shimen County,Hunan Province,taking farmers growing special agricultural products as the research object.From the perspective of farmers’ cognition,risk cognition is divided into quality risk cognition,environmental risk cognition,health risk cognition and market risk cognition,and the influence of farmers’ risk cognition on the behavior of green production technology is investigated in order to better understand farmers’ psychology and formulate corresponding policies to motivate farmers to adopt green production technology.Based on the research results of green production technology behavior of farmers at home and abroad,this paper conducts a descriptive statistical analysis of individual characteristics,household business characteristics,risk perceptions and the current situation of green production of farmers in the research area based on the theory of farmers’ behavior and risk management theory.Based on the data obtained from the research,a binary logistic model was used to analyze the influence of farmers’ risk perception on the behavior of green production technology.The study showed that: farmers’ gender,social status,risk preference,whether to feed livestock,quality risk perception,environmental risk perception,and health risk perception positively influenced the adoption of green production technology;farmers’ age,years of citrus cultivation,and market risk perception negatively influenced the adoption of green production technology.Based on the empirical results,we propose measures and suggestions to bring into play the brand effect,strengthen publicity and education,increase technical support,smooth the information channel,cultivate new agricultural business entities,and improve the policy subsidy mechanism to improve the level of farmers’ risk perceptions and promote the use of green production technologies by farmers.In this paper,we divide farmers’ risk perceptions into four dimensions from the cognitive perspective,and study the factors influencing the behavior of citrus growers’ green production technology in Shimen County,Hunan Province.This not only expands the research perspective and enriches the theories related to farmers’ risk perception and green production technology behavior,but also has practical significance for the improvement of the ecological environment,the sustainable development of citrus industry and the growth of farmers’ economic returns in Shimen County. |
