In order to cope with the global climate problem,China clearly put forward the goal of achieving the peak of carbon emissions by 2030.In the past decades,Inner Mongolia has been resource-based industries as the leading industry, these industries in the production process there are high pollution, high emissions, high energy consumption and other issues. The power industry is a typical "three high" enterprises. There are relevant data show that in 2020,Inner Mongolia power production structure, coal, oil, gas and other traditional fossil energy generation accounted for 84.88% of the total power generation,in the traditional fossil energy generation,coal-fired power generation accounted for almost 93% of the total power generation. In recent years, while the economy has been developing, the power industry in Inner Mongolia has also been growing, and the greenhouse gases brought by its development have been increasing year by year, causing certain challenges for Inner Mongolia to achieve its carbon peak target.in August 2021,Inner Mongolia released the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Coal Power Energy Conservation,Consumption Reduction and Flexibility Transformation Action Plan(2021-2023)",and proposed that it would strictly control the access to new coal power.promote the transformation and upgrading of the stock of coal power, promote the clean and efficient development of coal power, and guide the construction of a new power system with new energy as the main body and coal power as the support,so as to promote the green and sustainable development of the power industry. Therefore, this thesis conducts a relevant study on effectively reducing carbon emissions in the power industry and promoting the power industry to achieve the goal of carbon peaking, with the following main work:Firstly, this paper composes and introduces the current situation of the development of Inner Mongolia power industry, based on which, the current situation and problems of carbon emission in Inner Mongolia power industry are summarized;secondly,in response to the relevant problems, the log-averaged Dixie index decomposition method(LMDI model)is applied to divide the carbon emission influencing factors of Inner Mongolia power industry into 8 factors according to 3stages: power generation stage--carbon emission factor, thermal energy conversion efficiency, fuel consumption structure, and power production structure;transmission stage-power generation and consumption conversion effect;power consumption stage-energy consumption per unit of GDP level,GDP per capita level, and population effect, and the contribution rate and contribution level of each influencing factor are analyzed.Thirdly, from the results obtained by factor decomposition, three scenarios are set for the carbon peak path of Inner Mongolia power industry and related simulations are carried out by using scenario analysis. Finally, based on the results of the above study, policy suggestions are put forward to realize the safe and steady transformation of coal power in phases, vigorously develop renewable energy, promote the construction of carbon emission reduction market mechanism in power industry, increase the investment in R&D of emission reduction technology, and coordinate the construction of extra-high voltage DC channels.
