| Objective Hand-foot syndrome(HFS)is one of the common side effects of many antitumor drugs.Traditional Chinese medicine has its unique effect in the treatment of chemotherapy toxic and side effects.We ordered to observe the clinical efficacy of modified Duhuo Jisheng Decoction and Danggui Guizhi Decoction in the treatment of capecitabinerelated hand-foot syndrome and its effect on quality of life and immune function.Methods A total of 60 cancer patients in Changzhou Wujin traditional Chinese medicine hospital from January 2018 to June 2021 were collected,these patients have had hand-foot syndrome after receiving capecitabine or capecitabine combined with oxaliplatin.We adopted a randomized and controlled design to divide patients into treatment group and control group.The treatment group was given modified Duhuo Jisheng Decoction and Danggui Guizhi Decoction,and the control group was given urea cream.The WHO grades of HFS,TCM symptom scores,Skindex-16 quality of life scores,CD3+,CD4+,CD8+and CD4+/CD8+ratio were observed in the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,firstly,the effective rate was 65.5%in the treatment group,which is significantly higher than the 26.7%in the control group(P<0.05).Secondly,the quality of life of the treatment group was significantly improved.Skindex-16 scores of the treatment group decreased to 21.23 ± 11.54,which is lower than that of the control group(30.14±9.02)(P<0.05).Thirdly,improvement of TCM symptoms,such as numbness of the treatment group was significantly better than control group(P<0.05).Lastly,the CD4+/CD8+ratio of the treatment group increased to 1.56±0.57(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Duhuo Jisheng Decoction and Danggui Guizhi Decoction is effective in the treatment of anti-tumor drug-related hand-foot syndrome,which can significantly improve quality of life,TCM symptoms and immune function in patients with chemotherapy-related hand-foot syndrome. |
