Effect Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction On Residual Symptoms Of Lumbar Disc Herniation Treated By Visualization Foraminoplasty

Objective:To observe the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction on the treatment of postoperative residual symptoms of lumbar disc herniation by visualization foraminoplasty,and to provide clinical basis and treatment ideas for clinical guidance on the treatment of postoperative residual symptoms of lumbar disc herniation.Methods:From December 2020 to December 2021,60 patients with LDH who met the inclusion criteria of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the Department of Orthopaedics,Affiliated People’s Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected,and all of them were treated with endoscopic discectomy by visualization foraminoplasty.According to the random number table method,they were divided into two groups.The control group was given routine anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment after operation,while the experimental group was given Buyanghuanwu Decoction on the basis of the control group.Before treatment and 2,4 and 6 weeks after treatment,the angle of straight leg elevation test,VAS score and Oswestry dysfunction index questionnaire were observed respectively.After 6 weeks of treatment,the clinical curative effect was evaluated by modified MacNab curative effect evaluation standard.SPSS23.0 software was used to analyze and process the data.Results:1.Angle of straight leg elevation test:The angle of straight leg elevation test in both groups was significantly improved after treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of straight leg elevation test angle in the experimental group was more significant than that in the control group at 2,4 and 6 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).2.ODI score:After 2 weeks,4 weeks and 6 weeks of treatment,the ODI scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the ODI score of the experimental group decreased more significantly at 2 weeks,4 weeks and 6 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).3.VAS score: By comparing the VAS scores at various time points,it was found that the VAS scores of the two groups decreased after 2 weeks,4 weeks and 6 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the experimental group decreased more significantly than those of the control group at 2 weeks,4 weeks and 6 weeks after treatment(P<0.05),and the VAS scores of the experimental group decreased more significantly.4.Six weeks after treatment,the improved MacNab evaluation was performed.The total excellent and good rates of the test group and the control group were 93.3%and 86.7%,respectively.The overall excellent and good rate of the test group was higher than that of the control group.5.Patients in both groups were followed up to 6 weeks after treatment.During the follow-up period,there was no obvious abnormality in blood routine,liver function and kidney function,and no adverse reactions such as drug allergy occurred.Conclusions:Buyang Huanwu decoction can accelerate the postoperative recovery of visual intervertebral foramen plasty in the treatment of LDH,and early improve the symptoms of postoperative residual waist and leg pain,numbness and dyskinesia,which is a safe and effective treatment for LDH.
