Objectives: Cervical cervical spondylosis is a type of cervical spondylosis characterised by neck straightness, pain at the top of the occiput, behind the ear or in the side of the head, which can affect work, study and life in severe cases. The efficacy of conventional acupuncture in treating cervical spondylosis with wind-cold paralysis has been clinically recognised. The superficial dermal acupuncture method is an acupuncture method that combines the theory of the dermis with the theory of functional tissues, and its efficacy in treating cervical spondylosis with wind-cold paralysis has been remarkable in clinical practice for many years. Therefore, this study compares the clinical efficacy of the two methods of acupuncture in the treatment of cervical cervical spondylosis caused by wind-cold paralysis and obstruction, and compares the acceptability of the two methods of acupuncture,in order to explore the effectiveness and applicability of the two methods of acupuncture in clinical practice, and to provide more references and ideas for the clinical treatment of cervical cervical spondylosis caused by wind-cold paralysis and obstruction. Methods: Sixty patients who met the criteria for wind-cold paralysis and obstruction type cervical cervical spondylosis were recruited, all of whom were young students from various universities in Tianjin, and were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group of 30 patients each.In the treatment group, superficial skin pricking was used, selecting the skin of the Foot Sun Bladder Meridian and the skin of the Governor’s Vessel in the neck and shoulder area of the back, together with the skin of the Hand Sun Small Intestine Meridian in the posterior forearm area, and the specific skin pricking area in the neck and shoulder area of the back was the skin circulation area of the Bladder Meridian and the Governor’s Vessel with the upper limit at the level of the Fengfu point and the lower limit at the level of the Dazhi point. The specific dermal acupuncture area in the posterior region of the forearm was the dermal circulation area of the Small Intestine meridian from the upper boundary to the level of the Pension point and the lower boundary to the level of the Houxi point. In the control group, conventional acupuncture was used, and the selected acupoints were referred to Acupuncture and Moxibustion(the second edition of the planning textbook of the National Higher Institute of Chinese Medicine): Dazhi,Wanbone,Fengchi,Tianzhu,Houxi, and Cervical Spine Pinch(both sides),with Fengmen and Fengfu. Both groups retained the needles for 30 minutes and performed one treatment session daily for 7 days, with 2consecutive sessions without interval. The observation time points were before and after the two courses of treatment, and the indicators included Neck Disabilition Index(NDI),Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire(NPQ),Simplified Mc Gill Pain Scale(SF-MPQ),and Needle Stick Acceptance. The intra-group changes in each of the observed indicators were recorded before and after treatment in the treatment and control groups, and the differences in efficacy between the treatment and control groups after treatment were compared, and clinical adverse events were also recorded. Results: After 2 courses of treatment,a total of 59 patients were completed, with no shedding in the treatment group and 30 cases completed;1 case of shedding in the control group and 29 cases completed.1.Baseline comparison: There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of age, gender,NDI,NPQ,PRI,VAS and PPI scale scores(P>0.05).2.Comparison of the overall efficacy of TCM symptoms: The total effective rate of the superficial skin acupuncture group was 96.67% was higher than that of the conventional acupuncture group 96.55%,with no statistically significant difference in the recent efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).3.Comparison within groups: NDI,NPQ,PRI,VAS and PPI scores in both groups were significantly lower after treatment compared to before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.01);acupuncture acceptability scores in both groups were lower after treatment compared to before treatment, with The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);4.Comparison between groups:the difference between the two groups in NDI,NPQ,PRI,VAS and PPI scores after treatment was not statistically significant(P > 0.05);the difference between the two groups in needle acceptance scores after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1.In terms of improving neck activity limitation and alleviating accompanying symptoms, both skin shallow needling and conventional acupuncture have significant curative effects. The effect is similar.2.In terms of reducing the symptoms of neck pain and depression, both superficial skin acupuncture and conventional acupuncture have considerable efficacy.3.Superficial skin acupuncture is more effective than conventional acupuncture in enhancing patient acceptance of acupuncture and improving patient cooperation, and Therefore, the superficial skin acupuncture method has good prospects for clinical acupuncture treatment of cervical cervical spondylosis with wind-cold paralysis and is worthy of wide clinical application.
