BackgroundViolence has become a major public health problem worldwide, surpassing infectious diseases,in terms of causing premature onset and high mortality rates, especially in the healthcare industry.Workplace violence can lead to healthcare workers experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, burnout, work stress, and a desire to leave their jobs.Previous research has shown that experiencing workplace violence can affect the psychological health, physical health, and job satisfaction of healthcare workers, but no studies have been conducted to explore the impact of workplace violence on the quality of life of healthcare technicians.Health-Related Quality of Life(HRQOL),as an important indicator of physiological and psychological status in modern medical models, can reflect the health status of a population from a selfreported perspective.Conducting research on the HRQoL of healthcare technicians can comprehensively evaluate their health, which is conducive to stabilizing the workforce of healthcare technicians, improving the hospital’s healthcare service capabilities, and safeguarding the physical and mental health of medical workers.ObjectivesThis study aims to find the current situation of workplace violence against healthcare technical personnel and their quality of life by surveying healthcare professionals in comprehensive hospitals within Shandong province. It intends to explore theconnection between workplace violence and quality of life, providing theoretical basis and data support for future in-depth and comprehensive research.Based on the analysis results, corresponding suggestions and strategies will be proposed to specifically reduce and prevent workplace violence, thereby improving the quality of life for healthcare technical personnel and ultimately enhancing the level of medical services.MethodsThis study involves conducting a survey of healthcare technicians in comprehensive hospitals in Shandong Province to investigate the current situation of workplace violence against healthcare technicians and their level of quality of life.Based on the analysis results, the study proposes corresponding suggestions and level, length of work, alcohol consumption, and health-related quality of life scores were all factors influencing physical violence against healthcare workers.5.Wilcoxon rank sum tests and Kruskal-Wallis H tests found statistical differences in health-related quality of life scores for healthcare technical staff who had experienced verbal or physical violence based on hospital level, average working hours, physical exercise, chronic disease status, smoking status, and experiencing violence.Tobit regression analysis showed a significant relationship(β=7.11,P<0.001)between workplace violence and health-related quality of life among healthcare technical staff, even after controlling for demographic characteristics, economic status, and health-related behaviors. Conclusions and RecommendationsShandong Provincial Comprehensive Hospital’s healthcare technicians face workplace violence that is correlated with their health-related quality of life. The occurrence rate of
