| Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of warming the lung,resolving phlegm and pacifying asthma soup in the acute exacerbation of cold croup bronchial asthma,and to provide clinical basis and new ideas for the treatment of cold croup bronchial asthma.Methods: From October 2020 to January 2023,60 adult patients with cold croup bronchial asthma who met the criteria were selected from the adult patients attending the respiratory department of the Second People’s Hospital of Shandong Province.A randomized control method was used to divide the patients into two groups,which were treated with different regimens for 2 weeks.The data of TCM clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score,FEV1,PEF,FENO,CRP count and EOS count before and after treatment were counted in both groups,and the data were processed using SPSS26.0 software for intra-group and inter-group comparisons to analyze the improvement of symptoms and their safety before and after medication in both groups.Results: 1.Basis: There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)between the two groups in terms of the basal conditions(gender and age).2.TCM clinical efficacy: According to the results after treatment,the overall efficiency of the treatment group(100%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(97.0%),and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.TCM symptom scores:(1)Before treatment,the differences between the two groups in terms of each symptom score were not statistically significant(P > 0.05),suggesting that the two groups were comparable.(2)In the intra-group comparison before and after treatment,both groups had good efficacy in improving various symptoms,and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.01);in the inter-group comparison before and after treatment,the differences between the two groups were not statistically significant(P > 0.05)in improving the main symptoms of thin white sputum and fullness in the chest and diaphragm;in improving the symptoms of phlegm in the throat,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.Auxiliary examination indexes: Before treatment,there were no statistically significant differences in FEV1 and PEF,FENO,CRP count and EOS count between the two groups(P > 0.05),suggesting that the two groups were comparable.When comparing the two groups before and after treatment,the indexes were improved in both groups,and the differences were statistically significant in FEV1 and PEF,FENO,CRP count and EOS count(P < 0.01);when comparing the two groups between groups after treatment,the differences were not statistically significant in improving FEV1/FVC,FENO and EOS count(P > 0.05);in FEV1 and CRP counts,the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.No adverse events occurred in both groups at the end of this study.Conclusion: The results of the clinical study showed that the treatment effect was better in the test group than in the control group.The efficacy of the test group was comparable to that of the control group in relieving the primary symptoms of coughing and sputum and fullness in the chest and diaphragm,as well as the secondary symptoms of body pain,chills and fever,and improving the inflammatory indexes such as PEF,FENO and ESO counts;the test group was better than the control group in relieving the symptoms of phlegm in the throat and improving FEV1 and CRP counts.The results showed that the combination of warm lung,sputum and asthma treatment with western medicine could effectively improve asthma symptoms,improve pulmonary ventilation function,reduce airway inflammation response and reduce asthma attacks.This study showed that the combination of warming lung,resolving phlegm and pacifying asthma soup with conventional western medicine was effective in the treatment of acute attacks of cold croup bronchial asthma in a short period of time,and there were no adverse events,and the safety was reliable,which could better relieve asthma symptoms and improve the efficacy. |
