Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Of Kidney-deficiency And Phlegm-stasis Syndrome With Tiaomian

Objective:This study used its own before and after the control study method,it compared the body mass index(BMI),menstrual status score,TCM clinical syndrome score,acne score,hirsutism score,SAS and SDS scores,and changes in basic serum sex hormone levels of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)of kidney-deficiency and phlegm-stasis syndrome before and after treatment with Tiaomian,an empirical prescription of Professor Cheng Ling,summarizing the etiology,pathogenesis,clinical and laboratory findings of PCOS,analyzing her diagnosis and treatment ideas,evaluating the efficacy of Tiaomian,to provide new treatment ideas for PCOS.Methods:This study used its own before and after the control study method,the study period was 3 months,the subjects were selected from Cheng Ling Specialist Clinic of Wangjing Hospital,Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese medicine.The patients who met the entry criteria were given the Tiaomian(discontinuation of medication during menstrual period),taking the medicine for 3 months as a course of treatment.The body mass index,menstruation score,TCM syndrome score,acne score,hirsutism score,SAS and SDS score,basic serum sex hormone level,pregnancy status and adverse reactions were recorded before and after treatment,the data was input into Excel,the database was established,and the data were analyzed by SPSS 27.0 software to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the Tiaomian in the treatment of PCOS.Results:During the course of treatment,8 cases failed to complete the treatment due to various reasons,and the data of the cases were incomplete shed off.Finally,37 cases completed the treatment.1.The mean age of the 37 patients with PCOS included in this study was 29.03 years,with the oldest 38 years and the youngest 20 years,with five patients(13.5%)aged<25 years and twenty-one patients(56.8%)aged 25-30 years,eight patients(21.6%)were 31-35 years old and three(8.1%)were>35 years old,and the age of patients was concentrated at 25-35 years.2.The average course of the 37 patients with PCOS was 3.91 ±3.57 years,the longest course was 16.5 years,the shortest course was 0.5 years,12 patients(32.4%)had a course between 3.5 and 6.5 years,2 patients(5.4%)had a course between 7 and 10 years,2 patients(5.4%)had a course between 10.5 and 13.5 years,and 1 patient(2.7%)had a course over 13.5 years,32 patients(86.5%)had a course of disease no more than 6.5 years.3.The 37 patients with PCOS had a mean BMI of 24.35 kg/m2,20 patients had a BMI less than 24,accounting for 54.1%;10 patients had a BMI between 24 and 28,accounting for 27.0%;3 patients had a BMI between 28 and 30,accounting for 8.1%;4 patients had a BMI no less than 30,accounting for 10.8%.4.The results showed that the total effective rate of Tiaomian was 97.30%in the treatment of PCOS patients with kidney-deficiency and phlegm-stasis syndrome.5.The BMI of PCOS patients with kidney-deficiency and phlegm-stasis syndrome was significantlydecreased after treatment with Tiaomian(P<0.01).The scores of menstruation,TCM syndrome,acne,SAS and SDA decreased after treatment(P<0.01).The score of hirsutism decreased(P<0.05).The levels of T,LH and LH/FSH were significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.01),the levels of E2 decreased after treatment(P<0.05),the levels of FSH and PRL were not significantly changed after treating(P>0.05),the difference was not statistically significant.6.There had 14 patients(37.84%)had pregnancy requirement in the 37 patients with PCOS included in this study.After treatment,8 cases were pregnant(57.14%),6 cases were not pregnant(42.86%).Among the 8 follow-up pregnant women,6 had pregnancy status not less than 12 weeks(75%)and 2 had pregnancy status less than 12 weeks(25%).Conclusions:Tiaomian can significantly reduce the BMI of PCOS patients with kidney deficiency and phlegm stasis,regulate the level of sexual hormone,and help to correct ovulation disorder,to improve menstruation,TCM clinical syndrome,acne,hirsutism,anxiety,depression,to help people with reproductive needs to achieve the goal of pregnancy,no obvious adverse reactions,significant efficacy,it is worthy of wide clinical application.
