Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Post-stroke Depression With Yangxin Jieyu Decoction

OBJECTIVE: To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yangxin Jieyu Tang in treating post stroke depression of heart deficiency and liver depression type,and to evaluate the safety of the study and explore its traditional Chinese medicine etiology,pathogenesis,and dialectical treatment ideas,providing a reliable basis and diagnosis and treatment ideas for the treatment of post stroke depression with traditional Chinese medicine.METHODS: In this study,I selected 90 patients with depression after stroke with heart deficiency and liver depression who were seen in the outpatient clinic and ward of the Department of Encephalopathy,Taian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 as study subjects.The patients were randomly divided into two groups and were treated with basic stroke therapy,45 patients in the control group were treated with oral paroxetine hydrochloride,while 45 patients in the observation group were treated with nourishing heart and relieving depression soup plus paroxetine hydrochloride.(NIHSS)scores,and modified Barthel Index(MBI)scores,and also counted the adverse events during the study period to evaluate the safety and feasibility of this formula.Results: A total of 90 patients were enrolled in this study,2 cases were dropped in the control group and 1 case was excluded,for a total of 42 cases;3 cases were dropped in the experimental group,for a total of 42 cases;84cases were actually counted.The baseline data between the two groups at the time of enrollment were comparable(P > 0.05).Analysis of the results of the two groups after treatment: in terms of improvement of the TCM symptoms of heart deficiency and liver depression type,the total effective rate of the observation group was 95.24%,higher than that of the control group 78.57%,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);in terms of evaluation of the total effective rate of Western medicine,the total effective rate of the observation group was 95.24%,significantly higher than that of the control group 76.19%,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The results of the changes of the observation indexes of the breakdown were as follows.(1)Regarding the HAMA scale,both groups showed significant improvement in anxiety symptoms compared with those at the time of enrollment(P < 0.01),and the efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.01).(2)With regard to the NIHSS scale,both groups showed significant recovery of neurological function compared with the entry group(P < 0.01),and the effect of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P < 0.01).(3)In terms of the modified Barthel index scale scores,both groups showed significant improvement(P < 0.01),and the effect of the observation group was better(P < 0.01).(4)Safety assessment: no serious adverse events occurred during the treatment and were tolerated by the patients.CONCLUSION: Through analysis of the efficacy and safety of clinical data,Nourishing Heart and Relieving Depression Tang is safe and effective in treating post-stroke depression of heart deficiency and liver depression type,which can reduce patients’ depression and anxiety symptoms,improve the Chinese medical symptoms of heart deficiency and liver depression type,promote the recovery of neurological function and improve the quality of daily life,without significant adverse effects and with long-lasting effects,with the advantages of good clinical efficacy and high safety.
