Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Jingzhuo pain relieving soup in the treatment of type III prostatitis(stasis-heat interjunction type)through clinical observation based on the theory of accumulation of blood, and to develop new therapeutic ideas and methods for clinical treatment. Methods: The required sample size was estimated by the sample size formula to be 66 cases, and the study population was obtained from patients with type III prostatitis who attended the outpatient clinic of the Department of Male Medicine at the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 1,2021 to December 1,2022.Patients who met the screening criteria were randomly divided into the Chinese medicine group(Jingzhuo pain relief soup)and the control group(tamsulosin capsule)according to the inclusion criteria, with 33 cases in each group. Before treatment,SPSS data were collected for age, disease duration,NIH chronic prostatitis symp tom index(NIH-CPSI),prostate fluid examination(EPS)and TCM syndrome score in both groups.Patients were taken regularly for 4 weeks, and the changes of NIH-CPSI,EPS and TCM in both groups after treatment were recorded, and the data results were statistically analyzed to observe the efficacy index. Results: The indices of the two groups of patients before treatment were analyzed by SPSS software showing no significant differences(P>0.05).A total of 63 cases were finally completed according to the trial protocol, including 32 cases in the Chinese medicine group and 31 cases in the control group, and no serious adverse reactions occurred during the whole study. In terms of clinical treatment effects, according to the NIH-CPSI,TCM scores and EPS results, the overall scores of both the Chinese medicine group and the control group were better after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05),with the NIH-CPSI score of the Chinese medicine group decreasing from 27.12 ± 3.27 to 19.96 ±2.73 and the TCM symptom score decreasing from 25.97 ± 3.39 to 19.47 ± 1.74;In the control group, the NIH-CPSI score decreased from 26.33±4.22 to 23.8±2.3,and the TCM symptom score decreased from 25.63±2.99 to 21.8±2.27.The results of NIH-CPSI and TCM symptom score in the Chinese medicine group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The overall number of leukocytes in the prostate fluid of the Chinese medicine group after treatment was lower than that of the control group, and the overall number of lecithin vesicles was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between them was statistically significant(P <0.05).After treatment, the total effective rate of the Chinese medicine group was 83.37%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 58.06%,and the effective rate of the Chinese medicine group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: This clinical study shows that the overall clinical efficacy of Jingzhuo pain relief soup in treating patients with type III prostatitis(stasis-heat interconnection type)is better than that of commonly used α-blockers,with no significant side effects and serious adverse reactions, and can significantly improve the degree of pain in the pelvic and urethral areas of patients, relieve abnormal urination symptoms, reduce NIH-CPSI and TCM symptom scores, and increase the number of EPS lecithin vesicles, which is worthy of clinical reference application.
