Objective: By applying modified Gegen Tang combined with Celecoxib in the treatment of acute stage wind cold dampness type shoulder periarthritis,the effect of relieving shoulder pain and improving shoulder joint functional activity was observed.The synergistic treatment effect of Gegen Tang combined with Celecoxib in the treatment of acute stage wind cold dampness type shoulder periarthritis was explored,providing a basis for clinical promotion and application.Methods: By collecting the patients who were treated in the outpatient department of the Second Department of Osteology and the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Xianhu Hospital,the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,from March 2022 to December 2022,60 patients with acute periarthritis of shoulder of wind-cold and dampness type who met the inclusion criteria were selected.They were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 30 patients each.Both patients in the two groups received routine rehabilitation exercise,and the control group was given oral celecoxib capsule,The treatment group was treated with modified Gegen Decoction orally on the basis of the control group,with 7 days as a course of treatment,a total of 2courses of treatment.Data were collected and sorted out before treatment,7days after treatment and 14 days after treatment.The Mc Gill pain score,shoulder joint ROM score and ADL score of patients were processed with appropriate statistical analysis methods.The differences between the two groups before and after treatment were compared,and the differences between the two groups were evaluated.Results:1.Case completion status: During the trial,1 case in the control group was excluded,and ultimately 29 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the observation group were included in the result analysis.There were a total of59 effective cases in both groups.2.Before treatment,there was no statistical difference(P>0.05)between the two groups of patients in terms of gender,age,disease course,and disease location,indicating comparability.3.Comparison of Mc Gill pain scores: After the end of the first and second courses of treatment,the Mc Gill scores of the two groups of patients were significantly reduced compared to before treatment,and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.01),with a statistically significant difference.This indicates that the combination of modified Gegen Tang and oral celecoxib capsules and oral celecoxib capsules has significant therapeutic effects on relieving shoulder joint pain.Comparison between the two groups showed significant differences(P<0.05),and the data showed that the pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after treatment,indicating that the combination of modified Gegen Tang and Celecoxib capsules was better than the pure Celecoxib capsule group in alleviating shoulder joint pain in patients.4.Comparison of ROM scores: After the end of the first and second courses of treatment,the ROM scores of the two groups of patients were significantly higher than before treatment,P<0.01,and the difference was statistically significant.This indicates that both the observation group and the control group can effectively improve the patient’s shoulder activity.Comparison between the two groups showed significant differences(P<0.05),and the data showed that the observation group had significantly improved shoulder joint mobility compared to the control group after treatment.5.Comparison of ADL scores: After the end of the first and second treatment courses,the ADL scores of the two groups of patients were significantly higher than before treatment,P<0.01,and the difference was statistically significant.This indicates that both the observation group and the control group can effectively improve the patients’ daily living activities.Comparison between the two groups showed significant differences(P<0.05),and the data showed that after treatment,the daily living activities of the observation group patients improved significantly compared to the control group.6.Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Efficacy Score: The two treatment methods were effective in improving symptoms such as cold pain or local soreness during walking,poor joint flexion and extension,limb heaviness,fear of wind and cold aversion in patients with acute stage wind cold dampness type shoulder periarthritis,and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.01).After treatment,the comparison between the two groups showed a statistical difference of p<0.01,indicating that the observation group was better than the control group in improving traditional Chinese medicine syndrome.7.Clinical efficacy: After treatment,in the observation group of 30 cases,7 cases were cured,14 cases were significantly improved,7 cases were effective,and 2 cases were ineffective.The recovery rate was 70%,and the total effective rate was 93.33%;There were 29 cases in the control group,3cases were cured,12 cases were significantly improved,8 cases were effective,and 6 cases were ineffective.The recovery rate was 51.72%,and the total effective rate was 79.31%.The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group,with statistical differences(p<0.05).Conclusion: This clinical study was conducted strictly according to the predetermined experimental protocol,and statistical analysis was conducted by recording and collecting relevant data before and after treatment.The conclusion is as follows:(1)The combination of modified Gegen Tang and oral administration of celecoxib capsules and celecoxib capsules can improve shoulder pain and joint function activity in patients with acute wind cold dampness type shoulder periarthritis,and improve their quality of life.(2)The combination of modified Gegen Tang and oral administration of Celecoxib capsules is more effective in improving shoulder pain and joint function activity in patients with acute wind cold dampness type periarthritis of the shoulder compared to single oral administration of Celecoxib capsules.(3)During this trial,no significant complications or adverse reactions were observed in the enrolled patients,indicating that the combination of modified Gegen Tang and Celecoxib is safe,effective,and worthy of promotion and application in the treatment of acute wind cold dampness type shoulder periarthritis. |
