| Objective: As a transitional and necessary stage for people with normal blood glucose to develop into type 2 diabetes, proactive, timely and effective intervention for people with pre-diabetes is very important.Considering the differences in glucose and lipid metabolism among different subtypes of people with prediabetes, this study compared the level of glucose and lipid metabolism and the degree of body type changes in 12-week moderate intensity brisk walking combined with elastic band resistance exercise before and after intervention, between groups(experimental group and control group),and within groups(different subtypes). It provides theoretical and practical basis for the formulation of exercise prescription and the concrete implementation of management scheme.Research Methods: In this study,48 pre-diabetic subjects, aged 52 to 64 years old, were recruited from the community after excluding 3 exudation patients. They were stratified and randomly divided into two groups according to subtypes(impaired fasting blood glucose alone, impaired glucose tolerance alone, impaired fasting blood glucose combined with abnormal glucose tolerance). The experimental group(n=24)received 12 weeks of moderate intensity brisk walking(60% ~ 70%HRmax)combined with elastic band resistance(50% ~ 75%1RM)training,3 times a week and every other day, about 60 minutes per time. The control group(n=24)received no systematic exercise intervention and only received the same health education as the experimental group. Before and after the intervention,Body composition analyzer(domestic)was used to test the body composition of subjects(BMI,waist-to-hip ratio). The indexes of lipid metabolism(serum total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein)were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer.Oral glucose tolerance method was used to test the subjects’ blood glucose(fasting blood glucose,2 hours post-meal blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin).SPSS 22.0 software was used to analyze the data obtained. Results: 1.After 12 weeks of moderate intensity combined exercise intervention, the fasting blood glucose,2 hours postprandial blood glucose and HBA1 c values of the experimental group were significantly decreased(P < 0.01);Fasting blood glucose levels were significantly higher in control subjects(P < 0.01),there were no significant changes in blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin values 2 hours after meal(P < 0.05).2.12 weeks after moderate-intensity combined exercise intervention, the total serum cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein values of the experimental group were significantly decreased(P < 0.01);The control group showed a significant increase in overall triglyceride values(P < 0.01),other lipid metabolism indexes had no significant change(P > 0.05).3.After 12 weeks of moderate-intensity combined exercise intervention, the overall body mass index and waist-to-hip ratio of subjects in the experimental group were significantly reduced(P < 0.01);No significant changes in body mass index and waist-to-hip ratio were observed in control subjects(P > 0.05).4.The time × group effect showed that in addition to fasting blood glucose and low density lipoprotein values(P < 0.05),there were no significant differences in the level of glucose and lipid metabolism and body type of different subtypes of prediabetic subjects(P > 0.05).Conclusions: 1.Compared with simple health education,12 weeks of moderate intensity aerobic combined resistance training has a more positive effect on abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism and body overweight in pre-diabetic population.2.12-week moderate-intensity aerobic combined resistance exercise has various beneficial effects on different subtypes of people with prediabetes.Besides fasting blood glucose and low-density lipoprotein values, subtypes of people with prediabetes do not affect the degree of changes of combined exercise intervention on other carbohydrate-lipid metabolism and body shape indexes of the population. |
