| Doctors’ professional activities are closely related to human life and health,so they have always been the focus of attention. The mission of medicine is to care for life and treat patients and save people. The medical development history of thousands of years has forged the medical professional belief of " save the heal the wounded and rescue the dying " and "medicine is benevolent skill",which shows the sublimity and sanctity of the doctor profession. In the context of the global outbreak of COVID-19,the occupation behavior of doctors exposed to the public view, which makes more people see the high occupation of doctors, but also shows many problems. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the theory of medical professional ethics and explore its difficulties and countermeasures in reality. With the rapid development of modern medicine, all kinds of negative effects are gradually prominent. The introduction of market mechanism, the one-sided development of medical technology and the misunderstanding in the reform of health system have formed a strong challenge to the traditional medical professional ethics. In particular, the erosion of capital and technology has alienated the "human" in medical practice, leading to the "dehumanization" trend of Medicine: the patient seems to be no longer a complete human, but just a carrier of disease.Diagnosing a patient’s illness through a medical device, rather than a traditional face-to-face examination, which pulls the distance between them farther and farther and make the original warm doctor-patient relationship cold.Medical professional ethics has gradually changed from the internal pursuit of professionals to instrumental professional norms. On the other hand, under the influence of traditional medical ethics, the high moral image of doctors who "save the heal the wounded and rescue the dying" and "practise medicine in order to help the people " has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. However,Patients expect doctors to effect a miraculous cure so that bring them back to life, and it is difficult to accept the results that do not meet their expectations in the medical process.Patients’ high expectations and high moral requirements for doctors often lead to moral kidnapping of doctors, frustrate doctors’ enthusiasm for medical practice, and finally damage the common interests of both doctors and patients. At the institutional and legal level, the provisions on doctors’ obligations are far greater than their rights, and doctors’ rights have not been truly safeguarded and respected. With the enhancement of patients’ awareness of rights and the continuous improvement of doctors’ professional role expectations, doctors’ professional environment is becoming more and more difficult.Starting from the above two problems, this paper analyzes the ethical meaning of doctors’ professional ethics, discusses the dilemma of medical professional ethics, and then seeks a solution.Facing the modern dilemma of medical professional ethics,on the one hand,we should improve the norms of medical professional ethics and safeguard the rights of patients and doctors; On the other hand, doctors should be encouraged to pursue virtue and practice the purpose of medicine. The goal of this study is to achieve the "reasonable balance".Doctors can neither be completely reduced to "economic man" nor confined to the saintly moral "Utopia",but to seek a balance between norms and virtues, which not only encourages doctors to inherit the positive elements of traditional medical ethics, practice the medical moral mission of "doctor’s benevolence" and serve patients wholeheartedly; At the same time,we should affirm the rights of doctors, give doctors more humanistic care, and let doctors continuously obtain freedom of choice in a reasonable and hierarchical medical professional spirit. Finally, this paper looks for an effective path to achieve the "reasonable balance" for the construction of medical professional ethics from the aspects of concept, system and reality,in order to provide reference for the reconstruction of contemporary medical ethics and the improvement of doctors’ rights, and open up a new path for easing the tense doctor-patient relationship. |
