Objective: Generalized Anxiety Disorder(GAD)is a psychiatric disorder characterized by persistent excessive worrying,which seriously affects the patient’s social function and quality of life.A recent survey of mental health showed that the lifetime prevalence of anxiety disorders in my country was 7.57%,ranking first among all kinds of mental disorders.In addition to conventional drug treatment,supplemented by psychotherapy,it is of great significance to patients.Cognitive behavior therapy(CBT)relieves psychological symptoms by correcting the unreasonable beliefs of clients and changing behavioral responses.Clinical controlled studies at home and abroad show that group cognitive behavior therapy(GCBT)is effective in improving GAD related symptoms have significant efficacy,but there is a lack of comparative studies with other treatment techniques.In addition,as a local psychotherapy method,Balancing Psychotherapy(BPT)focuses on psychological imbalance,helps patients coordinate relationships and grasp the scale,and has been verified in the intervention of various mental diseases.Studies have shown that group balancing psychotherapy(GBPT)can effectively reduce anxiety and depression symptoms in GAD patients.The present research attempted to explore the difference in efficacy between GBPT and GCBT in GAD intervention.Methods: Patients with GAD were recruited online and offline.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,31 subjects were included,and they were assigned to GBPT with 16 people and GCBT with 15 people.The number of effective cases was 14 and 10 respectively;due to the large number of lost people in the GCBT group,supplemental recruitment of second GCBT group with 13 people.GBPT received 8-week balanced psychotherapy on the basis of conventional treatment,GCBT received 8-week group cognitive behavioral therapy on the basis of conventional treatment,Hamilton Anxiety Scale,Patient Health Questionnaire-9,Patient Health Questionnaire-15,Perceived Social Support Scale,Simplified coping style questionnaire,and Goal Pursuit Scale were used to evaluate the curative effect.Results: There were no significant differences between the GBPT group and the GCBT group in terms of age,gender,education level,marital status,and whether there was drug intervention at baseline(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the levels of anxiety,depression,somatization,social support,coping style and goal pursuit between the two groups at baseline(P>0.05).After 8 weeks of group balance psychotherapy intervention,anxiety,depression and somatization levels in GBPT group were significantly decreased(t=8.74,P<0.001;t=3.77,P < 0.01;t=4.92,P< 0.001).After 8 weeks of group cognitive behavioral therapy intervention,the levels of anxiety,depression and somatization in the GCBT group were significantly decreased,too(t=9.31,P<0.001;t=5.57,P<0.001;t=2.24,P<0.05).The reduction rate of anxiety and somatization symptoms in GBPT group was significantly better than that in GCBT group(t=2.88,P<0.001;t=2.27,P<0.05).Conclusion: Both GBPT and GCBT can effectively reduce anxiety,depression and somatization in patients with GAD,which are effective psychotherapies for patients with generalized anxiety disorders.GBPT was significantly better than GCBT in reducing anxiety and somatization symptoms in patients with GAD.This study explores the comparative advantages of GBPT and GGCBT,GBPT has cultural and conceptual advantages,high inclusiveness of members,mutual assistance atmosphere and good member participation of groups.GCBT focuses on the learning of cognitive pattern change and relaxation technology,has a high degree of systematicness and structure,which has enlightening significance for the clinical practice of future group therapy. |
