Narrative Research On Short Video Of Health Communication

Health communication plays an important role in spreading health information,improving residents ’ health concept and improving residents ’health level.In the era of mobile Internet,with the change of media technology,the way of information dissemination is constantly evolving.The short video platform represented by Tik Tok has become a new position for health communication because of its short and concise content,wide communication channels,strong social attributes and various video forms.Especially after the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020,health communication short videos have played an important role in spreading epidemic-related knowledge and refuting health rumors,expanding the influence of health communication.This paper chooses the account of " Medical Road Forward Weizi " in the Douyin short video platform as the research object,and takes the period from January 1,2022 to December 12,2022 as the research period,and conducts text analysis on 278 valid short video samples.In the analysis,the author draws on the framework of narratology,news narratology and other disciplines to conduct narrative research on the " Medical Road Forward Weizi " Douyin account,analyzes its characteristics in three aspects : narrative content,narrative discourse and narrative skills,and puts forward enlightenment for the development of health communication short video in narrative.From the narrative content of the " Medical Road Forward Weizi " Douyin account,it is mainly studied from two aspects : narrative topic selection and narrative plot.In terms of narrative topics," Medical Road Forward Weizi " can be divided into five narrative topics according to the content : life science,disease prevention,answering questions,first aid measures,diet and health preservation.In the narrative plot,it is found that " Medical Road Forward Weizi" spreads health knowledge by following the hot spots,attracting users,being close to life,spreading knowledge,not setting a title,and quickly cutting into the plot setting.In terms of narrative discourse,it mainly studies from two aspects :narrative perspective and audio-visual language.In terms of narrative perspective," Medical Road Forward Weizi " combines the omniscient perspective of objective dissemination of health knowledge with the internal perspective of subjective narrative experience.In terms of audio-visual language,it is found that " Medical Road Forward Weizi " uses lens,sound,text and picture language to amplify the impact of various audio-visual languages on users ’ senses.From the perspective of narrative techniques,it is mainly studied from two aspects : narrative structure and narrative mode.In terms of narrative structure," Medical Road Forward Weizi " adopts linear narrative structure on the one hand and pays attention to the integrity of narrative theme.On the one hand,it adopts nonlinear narrative structure to highlight key information around the theme.In terms of narrative methods,fragmentation narrative,hot narrative and story narrative are used.Based on the above analysis,this paper summarizes the problems existing in the short video narrative of health communication,and puts forward the following three suggestions for its development : to meet the needs of users with diversified narrative content,to adapt to the communication context of the new era with young narrative discourse,and to enhance the practical value of science popularization with multi-angle narrative skills.
