Analysis On The Status And Influencing Factors Of Clinical Nurses’ Medical Narrative Ability In A Third-class Hospital Of Changchun

Objective:To investigate the status quo of clinical nurses’ medical narrative ability in a Grade A hospital of Changchun and understand the development of narrative nursing in clinical nursing,then to analyze the main factors affecting the medical narrative ability of clinical nurses in Changchun tertiary hospitals.Methods:This study adopts non-experimental study,descriptive study and cross-sectional study.Using digital random sampling method,two Grade A and Grade A hospitals in Changchun Hospital A and Hospital B were selected as the sampling hospitals for this investigation.A total of 450 clinical nurses who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were conveniently selected as the investigation objects in two third-level A hospitals,Hospital A and Hospital B.The questionnaire included general information questionnaire,medical narrative ability scale and caring ability scale.The database was established by Excel2017 and SPSS20.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results:In this study,a total of 450 questionnaires were sent out and 450 were collected,and415 were finally confirmed as valid questionnaires with effective recovery rate of 92.22% :1.The total score of clinical nurses’ medical narrative ability was(143.15±22.81),and the scores of each dimension were(47.80±7.76),(63.15±11.55),and(32.20±5.06).2.The Mann-Whitney U nonparametric rank sum test of two independent samples and the multi-version Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric rank sum test were used,the results showed that,Clinical nurses in Grade A hospitals of Changchun had different scores of medical narrative ability in age,educational background,professional title,working years,personality,nursing professional recognition,peer support,narrative nursing familiarity,and the nature of the department they belonged to,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Stepwise regression analysis was used and the results showed that,in order of importance,the factors affecting the total score of clinical nurses’ medical narrative ability were: professional title,educational background,narrative nursing familiarity,age,nursing professional recognition,F=20.964,P < 0.001.4.Spearman rank correlation analysis was used and the results showed that there was no significant correlation between the listening dimension of narrative medicine and the cognitive dimension of caring ability(P>0.05),the total scores of the two scales and scores of other dimensions were positively correlated(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.The medical narrative ability of clinical nurses in Grade A hospitals of Changchun City was generally at the lower level of the medium level,and the scores of each dimension of medical narrative ability from high to low were as follows: reflection and representation,attention and listening,understanding and response.2.The main influencing factors of clinical nurses’ medical narrative ability in Grade A hospitals of Changchun City were: professional title,educational background,narrative nursing familiarity,age,nursing professional recognition;The general influencing factors are:working years,personality,peer support degree,nature of department.3.There was a positive correlation between the caring ability of clinical nurses and their medical narrative ability in the Grade A hospital of Changchun City.The stronger the caring ability of clinical nurses,the stronger their medical narrative ability.
