Objective:Based on the grounded theory, the influencing factors of college students ’ health information avoidance are sorted out.Based on this, the existing scale is adapted in combination with the health situation, and the questionnaire is designed to investigate the current situation and influencing factors of college students’ health information avoidance. The interview results are verified, and then targeted suggestions are put forward for college students’ health information avoidance,so as to provide reference for relevant departments to help college students carry out reasonable health information avoidance. Methods:Through the semi-structured interview method, the initial data of 27 college students’ health information avoidance were collected.Based on the grounded theory, the interview data were coded at three levels to construct a model of influencing factors of college students’ health information avoidance.According to the model,a questionnaire on the status quo and influencing factors of college students’ health information avoidance was designed, and a network survey was conducted with the help of the questionnaire star platform.A total of 412 questionnaires were collected. After eliminating invalid questionnaires,363 valid questionnaires remained, with an effective recovery rate of 88.10%.The data were analyzed in IBM SPSS 24.0software by descriptive analysis,one-way analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis and other methods.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:(1)In the qualitative research, the interview data were analyzed based on the grounded theory, and three main categories of influencing factors of college students’ health information avoidance were obtained: information factors, personal factors and social factors,as well as 13 basic categories: information authenticity, information relevance, information authority, information overload, information presentation form, negative emotions,self-perception,behavior change, health information literacy, health status, interpersonal relationship, task hindrance and health environment.(2)In the quantitative study, the status quo of college students’ health information avoidance was analyzed.Health information avoidance(2.419±1.017),social factors(3.138±0.849),information factors(3.149±0.834),personal factors(2.887±0.645);in the content of health information presentation, the information avoidance of health care and life schedule was the most(41.60%);in the form of health information presentation, the content of the text class(51.24%)has the most health information avoidance.(3)In one-way analysis of variance,gender(P>0.05)had no significant difference in health information avoidance;the score of people over 25 years old(2.89±0.93)was higher than that of people under 25 years old(2.38±1.02).The score of school level was higher in junior colleges(3.08±0.95)than in key universities(2.86±0.96)than in ordinary universities(2.23±0.98).In the subject category, the scores of students in other subjects(2.62±1.05)were higher than those of medical students(2.14±0.89);among the education levels, the score of junior college students was the highest(3.08±0.95).College students with poor health status(2.81±1.07)and poor psychological quality(2.79±1.09)scored the highest. The age, school level, subject category, education level, health status and psychological quality of the basic information of the respondents have significant differences in health information avoidance.(4)In regression analysis, the regression coefficient for health information literacy was 0.199(t=3.051,P<0.01),the regression coefficient for self perception was 0.314(t=6.611,P<0.01),the regression coefficient for information overload was0.402(t=4.939,P<0.01),the regression coefficient for information correlation was0.234(t=2.944,P<0.01),and the regression coefficient for task obstruction was 0.252(t=3.015,P<0.01),The regression coefficient value of health environment is 0.270(t=3.445,P<0.01),which means that health information literacy, self perception, information overload, information relevance, task obstacles, and health environment have a significant positive impact on the total score of health information avoidance.Conclusions:(1)Information factors, personal factors and social factors will affect college students ’ health information avoidance.(2)In the analysis of the current situation, the overall health information avoidance of college students is low;in the content of health information presentation, college students are more inclined to avoid health care and life information;in the form of health information presentation, college students are more inclined to avoid text health information, rather than avoiding picture health information.(3)Older age, lower school level, students of other disciplines except medical students, junior college students, poor health and poor psychological quality of college students are more likely to avoid health information.(4)Information overload, information relevance, health information literacy, selfperception, task hindrance and health environment all have a significant positive impact on college students’ health information avoidance.Information overload has the strongest impact on health information avoidance. The amount of overload information makes college students choose to avoid information. The second is selfperception. The better college students feel about their own health, the more they tend to avoid health information.
