Correlation Between Serum Secreted Frizzled-related Protein 5 And Carotid Atherosclerosis In Maintenance Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

Objective:Analysis of serum secreted frizzle-related proteins(SFRP5)in maintenance peritoneal dialysis,The impact and correlation analysis of Carotid Atherosclerosis(CSA)in patients with MPD was used to explore the possible mechanism of the serum SFRP5 in the occurrence and development of large vascular lesions in patients with MPD.Methods:74 MPD patients who met the inclusion criteria were included in the experimental group,and another 20 healthy patients matched in age were selected as the control group.According to the results of carotid color ultrasound,MPD patients were divided into non-CAS group(33 cases)and CAS group(41 cases).Serum SFRP5 levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent(ELISA),and the related clinical data and laboratory indicators were recorded.All data using SPSS27.0 software for statistical analysis,comparison between the two groups using two sample t-test,Pearson correlation analysis and Spearman correlation analysis of serum SFRP5 、carotid intima media thickness(CIMT)with clinical data and other laboratory indicators.The factors affecting CAS lesions in MPD patients were analyzed by binary Logistic regression analysis.The predictive value of serum SFRP5 to CAS in MPD patients was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC),α = 0.05 was used as the test level,and P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results:(1)Among the 74 MPD patients,41 had CAS,accounting for 55%,and 33 had non-CAS,accounting for 45%.(2)Comparing the concentration of SFRP5 among the groups,the serum SERP5 concentration of the MPD group was lower than that of the healthy control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In MPD patients,the concentration of SFRP5 in the CAS group was lower than that of the non-CAS group,and the difference was statistically Significant(P<0.05).(3)The results of binary Logistic regression analysis showed that age,Ca,TC,TG,Hcy,and SFRP5 were the influencing factors of CAS,among which age,Ca,TC,TG,and Hcy were independent risk factors for the occurrence of CAS,and SFRP5 was the predictor of CAS.protective factor.(4)The linear correlation analysis between SFRP5 and related indicators showed that: SFRP5 was positively correlated with CRP(P<0.05),and negatively correlated with TC,TG,and CIMT(P<0.05).(5)The linear correlation analysis between CIMT and related indicators showed that CIMT was positively correlated with age,TC and LDL-C,and negatively correlated with SFRP5(P<0.05).(6)The ROC curve showed that SFRP5 had certain predictive value for CAS lesions in MPD patients,and the area under the curve(AUC)was 0.738.Conclusion:The serum SFRP5 concentration in patients with MPD combined with CAS significantly decreased,and SFRP5 may be involved in the occurrence and development of macrovascular lesions in MPD patients,which has certain predictive value for macrovascular lesions in MPD patients.
