Objective: To implement a wake-up health education intervention program based on the knowledge-confirmation-action theory, and explore the impact of the intervention program on osteoporosis knowledge, health literacy,self-efficacy and self-management behavior of the population with osteopenia. Methods: A total of 94 patients who were diagnosed as osteopenia by bone mineral density examination at the Health Management Center of a Class III hospital in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from July 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the study subjects.Using a random number table method, they were divided into a control group of 48 cases and a test group of 46 cases. The control group received routine health education, while the experimental group received a wake-up health education intervention program based on the knowledge belief behavior theory. The osteoporosis knowledge scale, health literacy scale, osteoporosis self-efficacy scale, and chronic disease self management scale were used to compare the osteoporosis knowledge, health literacy,self-efficacy,and self management behavior of the two groups of people with osteopenia. Results: After 3 and 6 months of intervention, the score of osteoporosis related knowledge in the test group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.001).After 3 and 6 months of intervention, the score of health literacy in the test group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After 3 and 6 months of intervention, the self-efficacy score of the test group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After 3 and 6 months of intervention, the score of self-management behavior in the test group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.001).Conclusion: The wake-up health education based on the knowledge-confirmation-a ction theory can effectively improve the osteoporosis related knowledge, health literacy,self-efficacy and self-management behavior of the osteopenia population, and provide reference for the clinical health education of the osteopenia population. |
