Objectives: To investigate the clinical effect observation of acupuncture with press acupuncture on prevention and treatment of opioid-related gastrointestinal reactions, and to observe the effects of acupuncture with press acupuncture on KPS scores and the incidence and severity of nausea, vomiting, constipation symptoms in patients who took oral oxycodone hydrochloride sustained-release tablets and did not experience opioid-related gastrointestinal reactions. To investigate the clinical application value of press-needle insertion for prevention of opioid-related gastrointestinal reactions. Methods: Clinical inclusion from January 2022 to January 2023,66 cancer patients who took oxycodone hydrochloride sustained release tablets for pain relief admitted to the oncology clinic and ward of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Anhui Acupuncture Hospital)were randomly divided into needle-embedding group and control group, taking into account the unity of patients’ gender and age.The control group was treated with basic treatment, and the treatment group was treated with follow-up needle-embedding therapy,1-2 times a week, and the interval between the two operations was no less than 3 days for 4 weeks. The change of KPS score, the occurrence and severity of nausea and vomiting and the occurrence and severity of constipation in the two groups were observed before and after treatment. And using SPSS23.0 statistical software for data analysis. Results: In terms of KPS,before and after treatment, the KPS scores of the screw injection group were 75.81±9.58 and 79.03±9.08,while those of the control group were76.25±8.71 and 77.81±6.08.At the end of treatment,KPS in both groups were increased to varying degrees, and the acupuncture group was better than the control group(P <0.05).There were 5 cases of nausea and vomiting in the screw injection group, including 4cases of grade 1 and 1 case of grade 2.In the control group, there were 13 cases, including 5 cases of grade 1 and 8 cases of grade 2.Compared with the control group, the incidence and severity of OINV in the follow-up group were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05).In the evaluation of constipation,12 cases of constipation occurred in the press acupuncture group, including 8 mild cases and 4 moderate cases. There were 21 cases in the control group, including 9 mild cases,10 moderate cases and 2 severe cases.Compared with the control group, the incidence and severity of OIC in the snap injection group were lower than those in the control group(P < 0.05).At the same time,no serious adverse events occurred in the two groups, indicating that this study has a good safety. Conclusion: Acupuncture has achieved satisfactory results in the prevention and treatment of opioid gastrointestinal reactions caused by oral oxycodone hydrochloride. It can effectively improve patients’ KPS score, reduce the incidence and severity of OIBD,and improve patients’ quality of life.Meanwhile, acupuncture has good clinical safety.
